MoMa Molfetta Mare

We had a lovely stay at the Molfetta MoMa B&B (mid-July), it was ensconced in the old city and just incredible to walk through it all. You have to park on the edge of the old city or over by the port – free overnight if you park there - but it’s very easy to get to MoMa from that side (maybe 3-5 minute walk at most). We met Clara (and her adorable children), one of the owners, who gave us the keys and had us settled in our room very quickly. We paid about $120 in mid-July which I consider very fair. You’re a stone’s throw from the beach and there’s a protected cove or sorts there that plenty of people were swimming in (see pic). The B&B is immaculate, a strong shower, plenty of toiletries, slippers, a very comfortable bed, good air conditioning. I think our room had one window and it looked out onto the water (see pic). The breakfast was in the basement, with good juices and typical continental breakfast options. We didn’t realize that there was a rooftop deck until the next morning (only stayed one night), but it’s the perfect place to open a bottle of wine and watch the water and the ships. You’re right next to the Duomo di Molfetta so I recommend stopping by there too, and there are a number of eateries just on the edge of the old city where you can park your car. The gelato place, Gelateria San Marco, is off the charts good. Definitely a must when you’re in the area. We have extended family in Molfetta so MoMa will be our place to stay when we return.
