Solchiaro Resort B&B

The journey by fast boat from SNAV line at Naples Beverello to the port in Procida is 40 minutes. When I made our reservation I requested a pick-up at the port. Mickael, our taxi driver was waiting to whisk us away to our little piece of paradiso! Solchiaro is located in a residential area at the top of a hill and the vistas are breathtaking. In less than 15 minutes, the bustle of the port was gone. In it's place a peaceful garden oasis where breakfast is served family style by lovely staff at a large table with bench seating under a shaded canopy. There are only three rooms at this B & B which promotes the feeling of visiting friends in Italy. Our room was closest to the lawn and had pool access right from our patio. I was travelling with my sister and it had plenty of room for us both. I slept on the pull out sofa (comfy) and she had the bedroom with the stunning view of the sea. The air con in the main area and bedroom and double sinks in the bathroom were nice to have. Nuccia and Antonio are gracious hosts. The two of them and their team are happy, genuine, lovely people who make every effort to ensure you are having a wonderful time in their home and on their property. One thing to note is that the pool and area around it is small (that is a big part of its' charm) and if all guests are out there at the same time it's close quarters. Luckily Antonio and Nuccia thought about this and they built a wonderful rooftop terrace to escape to. This was an amazing weekend getaway and I can't wait to return.
