B&B Pisa Tower

Having booked flights to Pisa we looked for somewhere to stay for the first night and the return to the airport. As it was only one night incoming and outgoing we did not do a lot of research but we found a gem. First having arrived at the airport we could immediately access central Pisa by the newly built Pisamover rail shuttle ( relatively cheap and very frequent). From the railway station B&B Maria is a very comfortable 10 minute walk on flat roads. It is very easy to find being alongside the River Arno and well signed. Maria and her husband are excellent hosts with Maria speaking some English and her husband being fluent in English, German and French. The property is an ongoing refurbishment although there are no signs of this to disturb visitors and as a result the rooms are very clean, modern and attractive. Arrivals are welcome with drinks and invitations to eat from the selections of cakes etc. Maria makes every effort to make guests comfortable and happy. Other reviews have made mention of the noise and it true that the accommodation lies directly under the flight path for Pisa airport but flights stop at 10:30 - 11:00pm so sleep is not disturbed. This place is a real bargain for the traveller and I suspect will become even more popular as word spreads and more rooms are made available. Maria and her husband deserve all the success I believe will come to them.
