19 reviewsMy wife and I visited Sardinia for a week this year and stopped in this wonderful accommodation provided by Marco and Leonora. We stayed in the purpose built mini villa a short distance from the main house. It provided us with the perfect spot, a fifteen minute drive from Olbia airport, with which to explore the Costa Smerelda (Emerald Coast) of north east Sardinia. Fabulous beaches, wonderful food. We hired a Fiat 500 and travelled all over the area. One fantastic beach/view after another. We recommend Isola Rossa, Porto Cervo (how the wealthy live in Sardinia!) Porto Rotondo. Santa Theresa di Gallura is well worth a visit. Olbia itself has a lovely main street but isn't anything special, but you don't need to go far to find many special places. A car is a must. Beware the mad Sardinian drivers, they take no notice of speed limits or road signs and will tailgate you if they think you are too slow. A visit to the interior and the fabulous plains and mountains is a must.Our breakfasts at La Scala were tasty and fresh in a lovely purpose built gazebo. Mozzies can be a pain sometimes, especially in the evening so Avon skin so soft is a must (apparently the armed forces use it so it must be good!) Thanks Leonora for a wonderful holiday. We plan to return.
