I have spent the first night of four at Podere Papilio and feel compelled to write a review even before my stay has ended.
What a stunning place this is, It can be found down  meandering lane behind green butterfly adorned gates which open to reveal a lavender filed huge garden populated by lots of beautiful butterflies. Daniel and Liliana came to greet me and were so welcoming. I was shown to my room which is utterly charming. There was a bowl of fresh apricots perfectly ripe and a kettle to make tea and coffe a small fridge with water and a bottle of wine. There is a lovely patio with table and chairs to sit and soak up the beautiful countryside. The breakfast was amazing, a bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, soft boiled egg, fresh bread, a selection of local cheeses including the freshest creamiest burrata I have ever tasted, home made jams, local honey, fresh sfoglie made by Daniel. The breakfast is served in the trulli which is just so perfect. Daniel and Liliana are the prefect hosts, they can't do enough to please. 
It is perfectly located too, just a matter of 8 or 9 minutes to the centre of Alberobello so after a day mingling with loads of tourists there is a haven to return to. 
I cannot recommend this lace highly enough.

A beautiful place

It's a wonderful place, immersed in nature. In the morning the deafening silence is broken only by the singing of birds! Equally wonderful and relaxing is the scent of the lavender and the profile of the hills surrounding Alberobello. Breakfast is something unique with all the organic products of the territory. Liliana & Daniele turned out to be delicious people with whom we exchanged pleasant conversations. They were always ready to provide suggestions and itineraries. They welcomed us warmly and affectionately taking care of us allowing us to spend three exciting days. As soon as the work is done, we will be back for sure. P.S. So it was a great pleasure to discover (during the journey back) that Daniel will know how to make the electric guitar....

Oasis of Peace

Podere Papilio is an immersion in a peaceful oasis. Papilio in Latin means butterfly, and it is to this wonderful animal that the structure is inspired. The farm surrounding the structure creates an ideal atmosphere for relaxing. The family environment created by the managers Liliana and Daniel complete the painting. The room we had is the right size for a couple, with a bathroom with shower from the setup in my opinion above the average. Breakfast is decidedly abundant and very well maintained, completely homemade and with genuine ingredients. Technically you do not sleep in a trolley from the conical roof, but in a room connected to a trolley structure anyway.

Immersed in the Peace of the Puglian Country

We were lucky to stay in this beautiful location immersed in nature just a few steps from Alberobello, but most importantly we had to deal with wonderful owners.

Wonderful Owners and Locations

For the second time, we spent our holiday again for a few days. It was beautiful again, the quiet location and pleasant atmosphere in the middle of nature. An ideal starting point for exploring the beauties of Apulia. The hosts, as always, were very friendly and helpful. Still the best breakfast in all of Italy. We would love to come for a third time.

We really enjoyed it again.

Liliana and Daniele, masters in the reception room together with the feline Antonio, make the guests of this charming structure feel at their perfect comfort. Wrapped in silence, in nature and in the scents of official herbs, the Podere Papilio represents the opportunity for a truly unforgettable holiday, as far away as it is from everyday life. The room is large, very clean and the breakfast, finely equipped with linens and upholstery towels, offers Puglian specialities and homemade delizations that our guests will accompany you throughout the day.

It's a wonderful vacation.

Second time from Liliana and Daniel and it won't be the last... charming place memorable breakfasts but the added value is precisely this extraordinary couple who with their simplicity, discretion and experience make you feel good, ready to face another year of work that with their memory in the heart will pass in a flap of  butterfly😘

A certainty

When we arrived we got a wonderful lavender scent, it looked like we were in Provence. The structure is immersed in the Apulian countryside, in the middle of the Trulli, a classic bucolic landscape. The owners are very kind and very handy. The main structure is centered on the trullo that makes up the dining room, where breakfast is served. The rooms are very clean and well furnished and the temperature is perfect, you don't need air conditioning. Also, there is a depliant with everything you need to know about the surroundings, including restaurants for each pocket. The owners offered a bottle of zero-balls and organic cakes. In a bathroom the hot water was heated by the light of the fridge and just had a certain switch and a few minutes before the hot water came in I would definitely need to go to the bathroom. Every morning I had to go back to the bathroom and make sure that we didn't have to go back to the bathroom.

Fantastic Bucolic Vacation

Podere papilio is a wonder. It's quiet and sweet to live in the organic lavender that hosts hundreds of butterflies. Our guests are adorable and have a joy of living contagiously. They are taking little care of their visitors. The farm tour they organize with romantic dinner is a great time! The region is fabulous, there are many small villages to see absolutely. We will surely go back there!

The Paradise

Thank you Liliana and Daniel! We booked (my wife and I) for three nights in early May. The place is charming, inside a restored trullo, quiet and immersed in nature. Ideal for a regenerative holiday. The reception of the owners makes you feel at home. They know how to give excellent advice on how to spend the holidays, places to visit and activities to do. The rooms are clean and everything is taken care of in the smallest detail. the very fresh breakfast with local products is delicious.
