A Casa Mia Bed & Breakfast

We arrived in Lecce late in the day without a booking due to a computer breakdown. Managed to find the Tourist office in the main square, Piazza Sant'Oronzo and made enquiries. A phone call soon established there was a room available at Casa Mia. The owner came to meet us at the Tourist office and took us across the square to an apartment building near McDonalds (one of the only negatives!!). The apartment is on the second floor with stairs or a choice of two lifts. There are four apartments on the floor belonging to this B&B and there are other B&Bs on higher floors. We were given the Rosa apartment, the largest, as all were vacant. It had a spacious bedroom, large sitting room with kitchen corner and bathroom. The kitchen is available at an extra charge and would be useful if you were wanting to cook. A voucher redeemable at a cafe around the corner for a coffee and croissant constituted breakfast and suited us fine. Gabriella, who doesnt speak English, and her daughter who does, were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, an excellent accomodation option in Central Lecce. All day Parking (Euro 2.50) is available only a 10 minute walk away on Viale dell'Universata.
