Il Poggio di Bellagio

Il Poggio has absolutely stunning views of Lake Como from the house, the large garden and the pristine pool. It is a 30 minute walk into Bellagio, downhill. It was not a difficult walk, but it was a relief to be driven back to the house instead of doing the uphill walk to return. We were one group of 8 older adults and rented the whole villa, which was spacious and immaculately clean, with ironed sheets on the beds, lots of fluffy towels for bath and pool, toiletries, and slippers provided, too. Everything worked properly - the security system and gate, dishwasher, laundry, AC, etc. There is a nice outdoor dining area under an arbor and lots of comfortable lounges and umbrellas at the pool. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen. Francesca, the owner, was very welcoming and available whenever we needed advice, but never intrusive. We had a glorious week at this beautiful property, and hope to return one day.
