Corixa

I had only eaten at this hotel on previous visits to Badia and knew the food was very good. This trip we chose to stay here as the hotel has single rooms at very reasonable prices. Location is good with access to the nearest ski lift only a short, albeit hilly walk, away. Rooms were spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. I had a single room which had plenty of storage and hanging space. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had a good variety of cereals, fruit, meat, cheeses, bread, eggs and cakes/croissants. Evening meals were excellent starting with a salad bar and then a choice of 2 starters, mains and a dessert. The special Ladin night was great, really hearty local food and some very amusing musical entertainment. The small bar is well stocked and a nice place to sit and enjoy a pre and/or post dinner drink. One of the main points of difference from other ski hotels I have stayed in is the way it is run, all the staff and family are very happy and extremely helpful. No sullen, sulky waitresses here, they were all brilliant.
