Agriturismo La Casa Vecchia

This was our first time to stay at a property calling itself an agriturismo. (Definitely will be seeking these for future trips). We absolutely loved our stay ! The proprietor, Franco, made us feel so welcome. Franco has years of experience in the hotel and restaurant industry from all over the world. When he and his wife developed this B&B, they knew exactly how to provide exceptional customer service and create an amazing, high quality atmosphere for their guests. I loved everything--the building, the property, the view--OMG the gorgeous ocean view from a cliff high above the sea. His wife cooks from scratch, amazing authentic cuisine from Campagna region. We did not realize we had to book a reservation, so unfortunately we missed home cooking on our first night here. But the next two nights, we enjoyed an amazing feast. Franco makes his own wine, liquors, and olive oils. The olive grove is on the property. Franco grows his own vegetables to be used in the meals. We ate so well, and it was a real bargain compared to the cost of similar feasts at nearby restaurants. Everything was perfect -- from the high quality bedding and towels, excellent sweet breakfast (yummy cornettos), to the totally exceptional dinners, to those crazy beautiful views of the ocean . Our room was spotless ! Immaculately clean. We will most definitely stay here again next time we are in the Salerno area . Thank you for your gracious hospitality Franco! What a great host you are!
