This is an outstanding place to stay and we are unable to think of any meaningful negative points that might deter any future travellers.  The location, the room, the hosts, the welcome, the food, the ambience and, even extraordinarily, the weather and sunsets were all superb.  Well done and thanks for such an excellent job and making our holiday so delightful.

Gill and Alan  are the hosts you would hope for. They are considerate, friendly, anxious to please. The breakfasts are outstanding: fresh fruit and scones a highlight. We would recommend this B&B to anyone who enjoys the sight of Atlantic rollers, would appreciate access to Loop Head and likes engaging conversation. The bars and restaurants in Miltown Malbay are also worth a positive mention!

I were there in October, when nearly no one else usually comes. The service was so friendly and open-minded, that we just felt in holiday at the moment, when Gill and Alan welcame us with a big grin. Even though we were in Irland the second time, Gill had so many ideas of other sights beside the beautiful coastal path in front of Gill and Alan's house. 
The cleanliness, the elegant decoration, the  nutritious breakfast and especially our room had a great view of the sea!
Alan is a natural-born baker, who also lets the B&B-guests see him at work. The sourdough bread and the pastries are delicious. Wonderful!

We had a nice little stay in this beautiful BnB in October 2021. This place is a perfect start to exploring the wide variety of highlights in county Clare. The BnB serves wonderful breakfast and is 100% clean and friendly at all times. An absolute must-visit in this region! Highly recommended! 

A wonderful experience all around. Stellar location (literally - the stars are spectacular out there with no interference from city lights), beautiful views, and both the accommodations and the hosts were warm and frendly. Alan and Gill were very helpful. Highly recommended.
P.S. Don't miss a drive down the Loop Head peninsula to the lighthouse. Stunning.

We had a wonderful weekend break at Journey's End in November hosted by Gill and Alan.  The house is situated by the sea with stunning views of the Atlantic and surrounding countryside. The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated.  We had a very spacious room with fabulous en-suite. The breakfast was excellent with the added bonus of Alan's home baked sourdough bread. Gill and Alan are very welcoming and great guides to the area.  Highly recommend as a base for touring this part of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Journeys End is within walking distance of Milton Malbay and has the most wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is an ideal location to use as a base to explore the west coast of Ireland and other surrounding areas. The room was very comfortable and warm and as good as any 5 star hotel we have stayed in.
From the time we arrived until we left leave GIllian and Alan were the perfect hosts, warm friendly and had plenty of advice on the locality. Alan makes his own bread and is to die for, best we have tasted anywhere. 
We would definitely recommend Journeys End for a visit.

We have had a phantastic stay at Journey's End from Sept 13th - 15th, 2019. Gill and Alan made us feel comfortable and welcome from the very first minute. We enjoyed everything. Both are so lovely people, always there if you need them with great tips, help and for very good chats. The house is beautifully situated only some footsteps to the cliffs and the sea. Don't miss a walk! "Our" flower suite was very spacious, perfectly clean and cosy. Breakfasts are cooked as you like and so delicious! It is a great base for exploring the surroundings and coming back after a long day out feels like coming home.

Every aspect of our stay at Journey's End was fabulous! The B&B’s location is perfect – outside of the village of Miltown Malbay – with easy access to The Burren & other areas along the Wild Atlantic Way. Our room was extremely spacious & comfortable with amazing views of the water & headlands. There is a good walking path along the headlands so you can enjoy getting up close to the water. Gill & Alan are great hosts & very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were wonderful, especially Alan’s orange scones!

I've lived and traveled all over the world and hands down this is the best B&B that I have ever stayed in. The room is incredibly comfortable, spacious and has amazing views.It's great value for your money. The welcome tea and lemon cake when we arrived was an unexpected and much appreciated treat. The breakfast is very tasty and there is a nice variety of options to choose from. The owners are very welcoming and had lots of advice and information about the area.The location is simply stunning with a lovely beach and cliff walk right on the doorstep. The town of Miltown Malbay is a stones throw away with some nice restaurants and there is music in one of the pubs nearly ever night.The locals we met were all very friendly and welcoming. I truly can't speak highly enough of this B&B, the owners and the location.

Best B&B Ever

I'm not sure what I could add that hasn't already been said. Gill is the born hostess. You just feel so welcome and right at home. Alan, while more behind the scenes, is just as welcoming. 

While you need a car to stay here, you can leave it parked and explore the area. The shore just in front of the house is amazing. My partner spent a good two hours down by the rocks taking pictures. The walks along the cliffs are just as spectacular. You can also walk in to town and take a very cheap and friendly cab home. 

It's a great starting place to explore what the area has to offer. 

I can't wait to go back.
