We stayed here after a wedding in coolbawn Quay. Other B&Bs should copy the winning formula she has here! Excellent hospitality, lovely clean and different room, tasty breakfast. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Made to feel very welcome and assisted with info about the area and people who could help.  Breakfast was fantastic. Mary couldn't have done more for me.
I hope to return when next I visit. Great location for anyone wanting to chill out and explore Tipperary

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here recently as we had a wedding in Coolbawn Quay. The house faces out onto Lough Derg and offered a beautiful view of Lough Derg when we were getting breakfast in the morning. The house and more specifically the bedroom we stayed in was cosy, tidy and above all very comfortable. I can sometimes be a restless sleeper but between the two pillows each, sheet, duvet and blanket I slept like a log till the alarm went off the following morning! For breakfast there are a few options including omelettes, full Irish, cereal etc and as much tea/coffee as you can handle. Pretty much standard B+B fare on offer. Where Coolangatta really stood out however was the amiability, friendliness and generosity of our host Mary. No more so when it turned out I had forgotten the shirt to go with my suit and rather then have us drive into Nenagh to buy one, Mary went upstairs and dug out one from her husbands wardrobe that I could borrow for the evening! Mary's a natural people person and next time we're down in Tipperary for a night, we won't hesitate to stay there again. Very convenient to the hotel down the road being about a 3 minute drive away.

If you don't expect luxury and just want to spend a marvellous time in Ireland, it's the right place to stay.  The owner is very nice and she can tell you everything about the lake and interesting places to visit in the environment.
Breakfast is delicous and the view over the sea while hanging breakfast is outstanding, awesome and marvellous.
I am sure I will come back!

An excellent location on Loch Derg

Place is a little dated and worn. Owner is very nice, welcoming and helpful - a shining light. Rooms clean and adequate. Breakfast all right. Walls are paper thin, I heard every word of three telephone conversations in the room adjoining.
