We were greeted at the door by Charlie who got us settled and shared great info about the area. Our room was light and spacious with very high ceilings. Everything was sparkling clean. Beds were comfy - we slept well!!  Oh and to wake up to the smell of breakfast cooking.  We loved the Irish breakfast every morning.  We’d love to come back the next time we are in Cork.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Acorn B&B. Charlie, our host, greeted us at the door. The rooms are bright, clean, and very well appointed. Breakfast was served at 6:45 am to accommodate our early departure. We were very impressed. Thanks again Charlie, Cheers!

We spent one night in this beautiful Georgian house and we enjoyed it very much. Our room was large and bright (we even had two beds), everything was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! The city centre is close by and it is only a 3 minute walk to the bus stops for the Aircoach and GoBus to Dublin. The staff were very friendly and we felt very welcome! We definitely recommend staying there!

We only stayed for a night but were welcomed very warmly in the evening. The room was in the 2. level but the room was worth it. The room was modern and neat. The bathroom was very clean had a bathtub and had the moderate, absolutely reasonable size. The room was quite large, clean and had a pretty design. The sheets and towels where clean and neat too. We location was very close to the city center, which was very convenient.
The breakfast was tasty and the owner had made an early breakfast possible for us which was tasty and nice.

We were greeted really warmly, given all the info we needed and found the room to be excellent. Clean tidy and comfortable. Excellent location as it was only a 4 minute walk into town. Great eating places this side of the river and a great wee bar with Irish music. Breakfast was good, hot and fresh. Highly recommend

Really nice accomodation in a great location near the heart of Cork City. No parking, but I found a free spot about 500 metres away, so no dramas there. Owners were very friendly and helpful and the full Irish breakfast was yummy. Only slight issue was that there are four flights of stairs, so might be best to request a lower floor if this is a concern.

Our party of three stayed one night as part of our 2 day tour with Paddywagon. Our tour guide introduced us to Charlie and we were able to drop off our overnight bags at lunchtime when our tour stopped in Cork for lunch. The rooms were, of course, not ready, so Charlie told us to just leave our bags in the foyer by the front door. When we returned at the end of the day, our bags were still just sitting in the foyer floor, which we thought was a little odd. But, there is no elevator, so I guess the host did not want to carry our bags up the 3 and 4 flights of stairs. The location is great for the Paddywagon tours as the bus pickup is just down the hill on the same street. And, it is an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and pubs (we greatly enjoyed meals at The River Club and Gallagher's and the live music at Sin'E). Our two rooms were homey, with comfortable beds and nice linens. The rooms were spacious, though the bathrooms were tiny. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The host provided a hair dryer and electric converter upon request. The home is older and has that feel...uneven floors, creaky stairs, etc. There is no individual heat or air, the host told us the temp is centrally controlled. The top floor room was a bit warm, but cracking the window overnight was sufficient and not too noisy. The third floor room was cold in the afternoon, but had comfortably warmed up for overnight. Unfortunately, a neighbor behind the B&B seemed to be having a party most of the night (on a Thursday) which kept one of us up for a large part of the night. Breakfast was delicious and served very nicely in the breakfast room, made early for us to be able to catch our tour bus, which we greatly appreciated.

Lovely lovely place!  Our room and bathroom were so spacious- which we really appreciated as many of the B and bs we stayed at were minute.     Charlie was very helpful and gave us tons of info.
Enjoyed our morning chats with him. 
The place is very central and easy access to everything.

Acorn House was a great place to stay, only a few minutes walk to the city centre, but on a fairly quiet road. My room was clean and had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good. Charlie and Jackie are great hosts, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They made me feel at home and gave me advice on getting around and places to go. I would definitely stay there again. Great value for money.

Very close to city center which has shopping & food within good walking distance.  Beds were comfortable.  There was a little noise at night outside & people coming in.  En suite bathroom. Only negative is no elevator so have to carry large up stairs. Breakfast was a wonderful hot Irish breakfast.
