We are rating this very good because Cheers provided exactly what was needed - a safe hotel room for a woman alone, a place to sleep but also be near the hospital when someone else had an unexpected emergency. Cheers has a very central location, and there is a walkway from the hospital to this hotel lobby. There were always nurses coming and going and family members picking them up, so even at night, I felt safe. From a "Westerner's" point of view, we know that a lot of people would rate it lower. No, there are not big fluffy towels, but if you need an inexpensive place and you need it immediately and you particularly if need to be near the hospital (or the business district which is close by) - this place is perfect. They bring hot tea and an Indonesian breakfast to you early in the morning. The bed was made and clean towels brought each day.An amenity kit was provided with a toothbrush. There is a very small market (like a gas station would have in the USA) just a few yards from the hotel lobby entrance and you can buy bottled water, snacks, toothpaste, etc. In the back of that market is a "Canteen" restaurant which serves hot food and drinks, including bottled water. I often used Google translate app on my phone to explain my need to extend my stay because my vocabulary was quite limited in the Bahasa Indonesia language. Some of the employees knew a few words of English. The hotel accepted my Visa card for payment. From the ground level, you must take the elevator up to the hotel's small check-in desk. It is labeled in the elevator. I think the desk was on the 8th floor. Each room has a small desk near electrical outlets where I charged my phone with a plug adapter, lamp and chair. My room had 2 twin beds. Some rooms had the option of opening a door to have adjoining rooms. I am a light sleeper, and this hotel was totally quiet at night. I believe most of the people staying there had someone they needed to see in the hospital. If you want coffee, you can purchase excellent coffee in the lobby of RSPP (hospital) which is about 100 yards away.
