Villa Sumatra Bali

In the first week of October 2016, my entourage and I made our way to Bali with all reservations and plans sorted. So we think. We were shocked to find that our reservations at a 5-Star hotel were not in their system despite being made many months earlier. All of us scampered looking for accommodations in terms of hotels or BNB. And then one of my mates found this little niche. Located 40m from the main road, you will never know that a place like this existed as the serenity depicted something of the opposite. As there were 8 of us, we took 2 Villas which houses 4 bedrooms each. Very classic Balinese structure. Place is well renovated with a touch of modern design for the bedrooms. Big living room and big kitchen. To our surprise there were staff attending to us. Meals were either cooked in house or the staff will get you what you need. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient so much so, our amenities never seem to empty. All of us enjoyed our stay and were completely relaxed with the attached private pool available at both villas. The price we paid for the 2 villas (include the privacy of the place and the staff on hand to assist our every needs), is quite competitive to the price of the 4-5 star hotel rooms. So i guess we got a steal on our hands. We paid for everything else like our meals (just like room service) but the menu seems limitless as we just tell the staff what we like to eat and they can help us purchase the same expediently at local prices. Or they will cook it. Laundry services was located 5 mins away and it was returned promptly once it was done. Convenience stores and food joints can be found on the main road. Very useful after the staff ends their shift at 8pm. Security round the clock. Overall, pleasant stay with no hassle. After a dreadful hasty search due to the original hotel screw up, we submerged into the ambience of tranquility of Balinese culture upon checked in. Definitely recommended for family stay or even couples' stay. We are looking to return again next year as part of our yearly travel to Bali.
