i loved this hotel, it was clean, the breakfast was very good and it has a beautifull garden. for dinner you can walk in 10 minutes to restaurant green garden (take a torch), they
 have a very good sate. you can take a shared taxi (blue busses) with direction terminal which is next to the market. from there you can take a blue bus to the vulcano.

This place is not going out of business but the resort as was has been carved up and all that is left is the main house and a few rooms facing the mountain. I can't tell a lie the place is odd, a little shabby & run down but the rooms are clean and the view of Lokon is just hypnotising. Sitting out the front and taking in the view was a joy.
We first stayed in the rooms facing the mountain but some extremely  *ahem* obnoxious  people moved in on both sides and were shouting all night. After 3 hours sleep and being quite grumpy we asked to be moved and were given the room in the main house and the full use of the veranda which was bliss. So quiet.
First breakfast was Indomie which neither I nor my husband eat so the next day she made us pancakes with fresh fruit which was so nice.
This place is not for everyone as it is strange and stuffed with relics of a much more glorious time before the college took their land but I found it charming and the staff lovely if woefully short-handed.
If I had a complaint it would be that they charged us the same for the much smaller and non-view having house room as the huge, mountain facing with sitting area room, which made us leave feeling a little cheated but hey what a view. Find an excuse to go for a coffee if nothing else.

Strange but cool and a belting view.

Nice place beautifull garden

Beautiful view from the rooms, spacious rooms however they are old. When we went, pool was being rebuilt, which was a big reason for us to book it so very disappointing. No air con or fan, but was cool enough.  Not much English was spoken by staff !!!

Beautiful setting, cheap but basic rooms.  Pool out of order !!!

We booked this hotel through Agoda. The description of this hotel: free wifi, bar, room service, swimming pool, breakfast etc. But when we arrived, there was nobody. No guests, no bar, no dinner or lunch available, no wifi etc. Parts of the property were closed with fences.  No swimming pool. We heard that the owner has sold parts of his property because of a corruption case. He needed money.  There is really nothing, besides dust, smelly rooms, and dirt. It is not operational. For food and drinks you have to walk 15 minutes to Green Garden. (Dark road.)
Don't go to Lokon.
Go to the Greenlake Resort.

We had reserved 2 nights and when we landed they apparently had no rooms. We had come all the way via 4 flights and landed late at night so were quite bumped at that.

First of all, the place is going out of business and is being converted to a tourism school as the someone is taking over. This place no longer has any swimming pool and only has a few rooms at the back. 

The staff insisted they had no rooms and this is middle of nowhere so we persisted. When we looked around rooms were lying vacant but they just wouldn't let us stay. 

The surprising thing was that when we looked for places to stay, the hotel still showed empty rooms for the night. After much persisting, we were given a room for the night on condition that we leave the next day. 

Really shady the way the place is being operated. Still has the view but book elsewhere as there is nothing nearby and Tomohon is not an easy place to arrange alternate bookings or transportation.
