SM Bromo Hotel

Amazing views over mountainside farms and a clean and spacious room. It was perfect for a quick stay while visiting Bromo.  Only complaint is that the shower head was broken and the hot water ran out in seconds. Also the road is loud in the early morning as Jeeps go by, so not great if you’re a light sleeper. I would definitely stay there again

We stayed in this place with a group of 14 people and it was nice. Rooms were comfortable and water was hot in the bathroom, as for conditions in this area is already a lot. We took the lunch as well in the restaurant but it's not worth for this price (60K) as it's just 3 choices buffet. Good for one night one the way to Bromo.

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a tour to Bromo. Our room was large and clean with extra bedding to ward off the chilly mountain night. Nice seating area outside the room on communal access balcony. Free ginger cofffee on hand which was ideal for a pre-dawn heat up prior to embarking on the Bromo adventure. Upon returning we enjoyed a tasty late buffet breakfast prior to departure. Not many options for dinner so we ate in the restaurant which was reasonable although slightly pricier than usual no doubt due to the lack of alternatives.

This hotel is convenient and the location is scenic. However the hotel is very close to the road which results in a lot of traffic noise. While the room was spacious, the hotel could use some upkeep. The restaurant was not operating at the time of our stay. All in all, as a jumping off point for a Bromo tour it was fine. We arranged a driver through reception and he was fantastic.

Comfortable stay near Bromo

Cosy, clean and comfortable

How I managed to sleep is a miracle but I guess after a 10 hr drive in a car, we were exhausted.

The room was clean but security, locks and noise were weird.  The noise is insane as the bikes rev near the hotel and the guides, staff chat throughout the night right below the rooms.

The bathroom was fine, didn't really use it since we were only there for 1 night so I did a quick head rinse.

Food at restaurant was OK.  Decent but their English isn't the best.  Breakfast was OK as well, sadly the best was their toast.

This was just a 5 hr stay before Mount Bromo tour.  

Wifi only worked by the restaurant.

Noisy and Not Comfortable

If you want to get even a single minute of sleep, keep far away from "SM Bromo Hotel" 
The walls are made of paper or something like that. You hear literally every drop falling into toilets, every person talking and worst of all, you hear the locals driving by with their jeeps and tuned motorbikes all night long. It feels like they're passing your head within 2 meters. Torture!
You will be tired as hell, when starting your Bromo tour. 
By the way, the rooms are less then basic, the tap in the bathroom is spraying all over the room and your breakfast will be cold, when you return from your bromo trip.

Just about everything else. 

Restaurant food is decent tasting but the entire place is plagued with a flies infestation. The number of flies fall dramatically at night. For lunch, You share it with 50 files. 
Our breakfast buffet was enjoyed by the hotel files population. We left without having breakfast. Note: You don't get much shops or restaurant in this area. Without decent hotel food offering you will be pretty much screwed. 

Facilities: bed was ok. Shower was again terrible. You will either get scalded or be bathing in frozen water. I was basically doing a dance in the bathroom because I had to time the alternating waves of drastically changing water temperatures. 

I won't go back. I sincerely suggest everyone not to visit for your own good.

Very dirty hotel and very noisy as it’s beside the road side. The wifi is not working at all. And the breakfast price is ridiculously on the very high side. For the price I think can get better condition hotel. Won’t recommend to stay here.

Very bad hotel

We get room 004 and that was close to the their warehouse and it was bad view. We asking for upgrade, and none available. Bed was good, hot water need a minute to get it. They have 2 floors, BRI atm. And they have lots of flies

Dissapointed

Booked through Agoda. 
A few days later, which was 1 day before my departure, Agoda called me that hotel was overbooked!!!!
If you are lacky, you can get it. 
Otherwise, they will spoil your holiday.
Must avoid.
