I like how the staffs treated and helped us when we needed a rent car. They had been very informative and also friendly. The room is okay too, big double bed room for 4 with balcony and private bathroom including hot water and ac only cost 30 usd per night, which is super cheap. But, they dont change towels and dont clean the room.
This hotel is recommended for backpacker who doesnt need a luxury. So i think when I read a bad review from a family who stayed there, well if i were you, i wouldnt put my family in a cheap hotel and expect to get a 5 stars service. Ridiculous!

If you are backpacker and the things that matter for you the most are:
cheap price, clean room and place to have a cold beer nearby this is a place for you! We staid here in triple room and had a great time. The room is very basic, but big and beds are good. We paid around $15 in total for 3 people incl. breakfast (don’t expect miracle it’s just a toast bread and jam). The location was really good, there are many bars and restaurants next door. Also the staff was very helpful and friendly even though their English wasn't great. The cons are: loud air-condition and music from the musket that will wake you up every morning, however overall it’s a great value for it’s price.

Good choice for backpackers!!

Good place for backpackers

Its a cheap hostel in a nice street. When we arrived we tought the hostel was closed. All the chairs and tables were in the corner. Our room was good, but it was not very clean. The bathroom could use a big clean operation. Also we found like 10 cockroaches in our room and there was an ant plague..

The wifi is really good, which is nice. But it won't reach to the room..

Oh, and the breakfest was terrible. Ants all over the food and the roaster was broken..

Overall it was a bit of a dissapointment..

You get what you pay for..

During new year holiday, i stayed 4 nights in this hotel.. Totally this hotel is very bad, doesn't same with my expectation and also not worthed at all.. The room looks very dirty and smells bad.. I recommend you to look another hotel than this one even urgent really not recommended.. But fortunately, service is good in there..

House 37 is actually a very nice and exceptionally well located building with spacious guest rooms with balconies. On the plus side the staff are very obliging and they take 'phone bookings. On the minus side are maintenance and cleanliness. On entering the room the first impression is that this is a bit of a dump. Linen, towels and general condition of the rooms are all of a poor standard.The DIY breakfast is very basic indeed but then Prawirotaman is a great breakfast street so a cheaper room without breakfast is the best option in this area. Why eat the abominable bread when you can eat a delicious freshly baked roll at ViaVia or Hani's? At Idr 275,000 it is not expensive but nor is it good value. There are some excellent budget accommodation spots in the street but House 37 is not among them. The place is currently being renovated so hopefully  more than just the building will be upgraded.
