Andrea Hotel

Such a convenient location, across from the Tugu railroad station, in a very quiet and picturesque alley, and a great little restaurant down the alley. 
Rooms are basic, but the hotel has a little patio on the alley where you can have a beer and connect online.  Very friendly staff. Walking distance to everything that matters: the super helpful Tourist Information center, the bus stops and the Keaton and Water Castle. 

We spent in Andrea Hotel 4 nights. It is a nice place with very pleasant, english speaking staff. Rooms are not too big but are clean and nice looking. Hotel is situated very close to Malioboro street, so in 3 minutes you are there. There is also a lot of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Definitely it's a place worth of recommendation. The hotel is located in the backpackers district of yogyakarta, close to the train station and Malioboro street.

They offer small rooms that basicaly just contain a bed. All except one room have a private bathroom. We stayed in both a room with a private bathroom, as well as the room with a shared bathroom. Both rooms were clean and comfortable.   

The wifi is free but slow and doesnt have the coverage for the room without a private bathroom which is located in the back. This is not a problem as you can easily move to a lounge area at the front of the hostel.

Breakfast is included but is limited to two toasts, some jam & butter and coffee or tea.

The staff was very friendly and was always open to answer all our questions and help us whenever necessary.

All in all some small remarks but for this price you will find it hard to find better service.

Located in the backpackers area with very easy reach of the station. Stopped here a couple of times for beer and to get out of the heat of the day. Friendly staff and free wifi and easy to spend time here watching the people passing up and down the ally. 

Reasonably clean room, although it smells a bit from humidity. No hot shower, although the temperature of the water was still OK, since it gets hot outside in Indonesia. 

Very Friendly and helpfull staff. For example, they helped us with the Borobudur and Prambanan tour, they recommended a good place for a massage and recommended a respectable money exchange place. 

The street in which the hotel is located is quite (no cars), although in the night you can get woken up by a mosk, trains or airplanes. 

The street also has a nice restaurant in which they serve good food (Bedhot).

(-) smelly room, smell from humidity. No water heater. Thin mattress, made my waist feel pain. Easily to get knock by furniture, because the room is tiny. Just a bread & tea called as breakfast(?).

(+) super informative & friendly owner & staff. Good location, just few steps to train station & malioboro street.
