Went to Saklespur prior to Covid 1 during March 2020. We were four friends stayed there for three days. Avisekh, the owner of the farm is an excellent host. He took us to the adjacent coffee garden and explained us about the plantations. He also took us to the surrounding spots. Food was extremely delicious and we really loved the local style of cooking and herbs. One adjoining coffee farm was having flowering of coffee plants and that aroma very nice. It is an excellent homestay and we enjoyed a lot.

USP of the place is it’s own plantation area and the host Abhishek who is very friendly and accommodating to needs of the guest .
Excellent stay from COVID point of view as you have the full property to yourself.

Location :
Peaceful with big coffee plantation area and garden in front with flowers and fruits. 

Amenities/ Food :

Rooms are spacious and there are lot of area to sit out which kids can enjoy to play games or play with property’s friendly pet dogs .
Food was fresh with local produce and homely . We always ended up overeating.

Local trips :

There are 2 hill view points 6-7 Kms and the river area which can be driven to is also nearby . 

The host took us in the plantation for a walk and bonfire was organised which we enjoyed .

@ Location
The homestay is situation situated right on the highway which makes reaching here convenient. It is build at a corner of the coffee estate & it has beautiful garden in front of it which has numerous trees fruits and beautiful flowers. Kids played football and cricket on the open area. You can see fireflies during night walk in monsoon season.

@Food
Meals were simple and tasty. We were served non-veg in the dinner along with usual veg dishes. Variety of food in lunch and dinner was good. For breakfast we had Rava idli on first day and Akki roti on the second. Owner was kind enough to accommodate request for eggs for the kids. I felt breakfast should have atleast one more option.

@Facilities 
The ground floor where we were staying was having 2 large rooms with attached bathroom. High speed wifi is provided and a few indoor games were there too for the kids to play. There were few power cuts and please note they don't have power backup but this time of the year that was not a problem. Some outdoor games would have been nice. We carry out own football and cricket equipment so it was fine with us. 

@Host
Abhishek was kind and very accommodating. He took us for a trek to nearby Parvathamma Temple Betta, which was one of the highlight of my sakleshpur trip. 
All in all it was good trip.

This was one of the best home stay trips I had. Abhishek and his wife are perfect hosts . The place is same as mentioned in their website . They server great local cuisine food 
Rooms and neat and clean with all basic amenities . 

Once in a while we all need that break to move away from the hustle bustle of the city and the commercialization of typical tourist spots. During one such moment, we stumbled upon this incredible homestay. Great food, pristine location, huge vintage villa, and an incredible host Abhishek. Not only did he take us for a little trek and made sure we see the most beautiful sunset, but also took us for an adventurous and spooky Gypsy ride through the coffee plantation at night. Since it was a surprise trip for my sister, he did every bit to make it even more special for her -- even ordered a cake to celebrate the day. What more could we have asked for! Our experience here gave us exactly what it offers -- a ‘home’ stay! 

PS. When you are sitting by the bonfire that they’ll arrange for while relishing the kababs, don’t forget to look up at the starry sky and be mesmerized.

An amazing place to spend time with family amidst nature. We had a kind of Dasara family reunion. A very very homely feeling. The food was very mouth watering, enjoyed the  food a lot. There were a few games there like monopoly and a few decks of cards. We had taken badminton rackets and ludo and so on. The host is very friendly. Sakelshpur is a very beautiful and soothing to the eyes.We went for a walk around the coffee estate, trekked parvtamma betta, and the host took us in his jeep for off roading which was lot of fun. We went to malahalli falls, and all the three experiences were beautiful. Also the host started a bon fire on one of the evening.. we sat around and played antakshari and danced. Very peaceful and serene fun filled weekend. Definitely would love to go back there. We would like to thank Abhishek, the host, for making the stay so comfortable and memorable.
It was truly a Home away from home for all of us.

It was one of the best family outings in a long time, away from TV, amidst the nature!!! . The rooms, living area, bathrooms were very clean. There was so much open space that my kids just enjoyed running around. Most of our time was spent playing games, chit chatting, eating delicious food and relaxing.
The host, Abhishek made us feel so comfortable at the place that we forgot we were the guests and he the host. He recommended and accompanied us to Manjehalli falls and a small trek to a beautiful temple. 
Overall a very good weekend getaway from city hassles to a serene place with lots of oxygen :)!!!
