Best hotel in ooty. Mr Mahesh the proprietor is a very gracious host. He will look after your every need from first day to last. A truly humble and wonderful person. The hotel itself is functional and value for money. Located in the center and easily approachable. Food is also excellent.
Mr Mahesh will arrange all the travel, daily trips and excursions at very reasonable rates.
I am glad i chose this hotel. You won't be disappointed....

We stayed for 3 days in this hotel. The stay was pleasant and staff helped us in choosing the places to visit around ooty. Inside city and easy to commute to places in ooty. would recommend for someone who wants a value for money hotel. Only downside is that i does not have a restaurant attached.

We travelled as a family and stayed there for 3 days. 
Positives : - The room and bathroom was very neat and tidy. Water bottles and tea are available on request at any point of time. Friendly staff. Hotels like Hyderabad Biryani House, Yummy restaurant, and Pooja restaurants at walking distance (5-6 minutes walk).

Negatives : 1.) The room was quite congested. Though 2 chairs were provided in the room to sit, there was no leg space while sitting as the chairs were cramped between the wall and the bed. 
2.) No place / facility to hang wet towels or clothes.
3.) The wash basin tap had no handles, so difficult to turn the taps. Also, cold water tap at the wash basin was not working. So only very hot water would come out from the wash basin tap.
4.) TV video reception was not good. Blurry video, hence difficult to watch TV.

A good hotel for 2-3 day stay

Good Place for stay in ooty

The Golden Larch Comfort is the new building from the Golden Larch Residency. They are not listed separate so I put my review here. I Stayed at Golden Larch Comfort for 3 nights.. it looks proper and okay clean, but it seems that they don’t really are suitable for running a hotel. I was directed to this place because the hotel I booked said that they didn’t get the reservation- but they got my deposit so I don’t know.. don’t trust these people. The internet don’t work, you can not pay with a normal Visa card, there is no heating in the room- but I think that is normal up here.. bring an extra cover or sweatshirt.. the shower is nice, but the hot water runs out pretty quickly.. I sat on the toilet and the seat broke.. I have sat on many toilets all my life, and never experienced that. So don’t do that, it will cost you the extra expense for the seat because it’s not only the quality that is bad, the service is too.. I would find another place.. to say something good it is close to restaurants and city, so it’s not a problem that they don’t serve food. 

Bad service 

I have stayed here twice. Hotel with basic accommodation and amenities. Clean rooms, mattresses and cozy quilt. Bathroom has a water heater which they turn on upon request whenever you need. A place for people on a tight budget.

Inexpensive

Calm and comfortable stay.Kitchen facility available,which was very helpful to my kid.friendly staffs and humble owners.This was my second time staying this hotel.Prefer room at the east end which has windows open to the sun in the morning,which is osom. Will recommend for sure.
