This homestay is worth finding. It sits in a nature sanctuary and its owners and staff regard their true calling to be the documentaries they make about the stunning bird life on the grounds, as a means of awakening in people the desire to preserve the natural world. Mornings outside, basking in birdsong or watching monkeys cannonball into the frog pond, were heavenly. The staff is delightful and food delicious.

I spent 3 nights in Camp Sparrow along with my family and relatives. Can definitely say that it is one of the best places to stay for an individual wanting to be one with nature. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and catered to all our needs properly. The food prepared was simple, yet extremely delicious and felt like a homemade meal. Will surely visit the place again with friends and family!

It was a wonderful stay and a great experience staying at Camp Sparrow. It is located 16kms before Nainital if you are coming from Bareilly, inside a small forest on the foothills. You will get to sleep in a mud house that always remains cold inside and will wake with birds twitter and a glorified sunrise. The place is clean and hygiene is well maintained. Paras and his team are very friendly and helpful. If you have a pet, you will love the place even more. Not just this place is pet friendly but the entire team is very supportive towards animals.  This is the best place to stay if you prefer to live outside the city noise. Very well connected to locations and ample space for parking is there. Overall, this stay has exceeded my expectation. Not to mention the tasty homely food made by the team.

We spent last week with Paras and Shruti at their Camp Sparrow site. Awesome is a gross understatement to describe out stay and experience. We had the most wondrous time in the lap of nature that Paras and Shruti have created for birders and nature lovers. A two acre plot that has been allowed to grow wild but with a spattering of fruit trees allows one to watch birds and animals with the lest amount of effort. Simply by sitting on the balcony behind the mud huts, we were able to enjoy them as they went about their fascinating business of feeding, preening, fighting and what not. The same is true if you take the trouble of going around the place on numerous jungle walks. Thank you once again for an incredible birding experience. We will surely be going again.

One of the best place to stay in nature and relax with peace.
Been there 4 times and still would visit it many more times whenever I get chance to. Specially their hospitality will make you visit again and again.

If you are looking for a quiet and serene place away from the mad and chaotic rush of Nainital, look no further.....Paras and Shruti are doing an amazing job running the place and giving it a vibe you wont find elsewhere in nainital...i had a hankering for local kumaoni cuisine and the hosts were gracious to have it prepared in their home and serve it during dinner...located in Jeolikote, everything about the place, be it their organised nature walks, the camp fires or the quaint earthbag huts for stay....everything brings you closer to the nature and etches an everlasting memory to treasure for years to come.....and folks do try to support these guys in their effort to bring about a positive change and support their cause by checking out their website parasrajbora.com.....cheers to you guys and keep spreading the good word....

A peaceful place for nature lovers with option of staying in Tents and Earthbag houses in midst of nature where you will not miss your television and data connectivity.  Surrounded by trees and plants a bliss for birders and nature lovers.  We enjoyed family time in the camp with our son and parents in two earth bag houses with clean attached washrooms.  

Both Veg and Non-Veg food is available with limited options and self service.  Food served was good and homely.  Tea and veg pakoras were awesome.  Staff was courteous and accommodating.  In camp they organize trekking, bird watching and lots of activities which can be enjoyed by any age group. 

A different experience and Highly recommended.

Me along with my family liked it very much. It's a calm, peaceful, neat and clean place to stay. I booked 1 mud house and a camp. Food was awesome. Staff is well mannered and courteous. I want to go there again and stay there for a longer period.

I am lucky to got the opportunity to be part of 4 day workshop for Bird and Birders and stayed in Camp sparrow from 25th to 28th April 2019. I found it one of the best place to stay and enjoy nature. The highlight is that this is very easy to approach but very different  from the over crowded destinations like Nainital & Almora.   There is lot of scope for relaxation and enjoy the nature and spend a calm and cool time with family or friends.  The staff at the Camp Sparrow is very friendly, caring & helpful. The food  is very good this is really much more value than we pay. I would like to visit this place again & again.

I travelled in The month of November 2018 for a 🐦 Birding workshop. We were about 30 photographers. The staff is very helpful, cooperative,humble and we'll trained. Thr served buffet which was clean,home cooked and fresh. Paras who is also the owner took us to nearby destinations and made us see diff bird species.He shared his experiences of the place and birds.He is a very knowledgeable person and fun to be with. He even arranged a bournfire at nite so that we can interact with other fellow photographers who visited thr from parts of India. Ankit,a guide,is one of the most helpful guides I have ever come across. My mother who is a photographer but has problem in climbing and trekking. But with Ankit with us it seemed much easier.he would never hurry up. Also gave us tips on how to trek. Would make the trek fun and with him one gets to see beautiful birds. Overall I loved my trip as it also made me feel very earthy.They have earthy environment and one feels very homly.Paras also gave us organic floral pure honey which I took back for many of my frnds and family. I am again visiting then in March and wish exploring Jeolikote with Camp Sparrow :)
