Excellent service. The view is beautiful from the hotel . It was our first visit at Nainital however the hotel was the best choice pertaining the view and the hospitality. The staff was attentive and really polite . Breakfast was good . We extended our stay for one more night and on the day of checkout, we opted for local run from hotel car and they took us to many places for sightseeing like Mansa devi , Tiffin top , Himalayan view , Lake top view , Cave garden and many more . They even arranged the bus tickets for us. Overall the experience was nice , would definitely like to come back again and stay.

We visited this property as a family for 2 days and we were really impressed by the location of this hotel. Not only is it location right at the mall road, plus there is no steep inclination to reach this hotel unlike the case with similar properties nearby. The staff is courteous, and the owner is also a pleasent personality. Their third floor rooms have a nice view of the lake. We enjoyed our morning teas in the open terrace while looking at the lake. 

Hotel Shivraj is a wonderful cozy nook in the laps of Nainital, the city of lakes in India... Though our stay was short-spanned, only for 2-3 days, but we thoroughly enjoyed the service, the hospitality of the staffs, and their smiling faces... And what more can I say about the views! Our room directly opened into a balcony cum terrace, facing the lake.. Even our room had a delightful view of the lake and the adjoining mountain... The boating point is just on the bang opposite of the hotel. The Mall Road, Naina Devi Mandir, Bhutiya Bazar, ATM - everything is just a stone throw away. They also arranged for pick up and drop for us from Kathgodam station, as well as car for local sightseeings.

In short, Shivraj is a great place to stay, enjoy and spend lovely time at Nainital! Definitely recommend it. 😊👍

Booked this hotel of FabHotel. Stayed  there for2 nights. This hotel is situated in the centre of Mall Road. Approx 1 KM from parking. Rooms were specious and clean. Staff was very helpful and polite. Services were also great. They do not have parking facility. In house kitchen offers food like"ghar ka khana". Price of food is also very reasonable. Kitchen is closed from 2Pm to 4PM and 10PM to around 7AM.

The main attraction of this hotel was the view of Nani Lake from it's balcony.

Buffet type breakfast is also offered between 9 am to 10 am.

Overall my experience was good an and i recommend this hotel for stay in Nainital.

Hotel is situated on mall road with clear lake view. Beautiful Hotel with good cleanliness in room, restaurant and outside area also. Staff is very supportive and dedicated as give quick service with smile. Some costly but good Hotel.

This hotel offers great view of Naini Lake from 3rd Floor

Good Hotel and Supportive Staff.

It’s an average hotel. I found price a bit more, considering the quality of stay, rooms and complimentary breakfast.
Though its having a lake view, which is one point on the positive side but overall place is just average.
For older people its tough to climb steep stairs. Just FYI..
For heater, they charge little bit extra money. 
Room service is good. 
Their complimentary breakfast menu doesn’t include much items- to be precise its just two items.
I would recommend this place to visitors who doesn’t want to spend much on stay.

Average stay @Hotel Shivraj

If you are a hotel owner at Mall Road Nainital you don't care about anything. Plus if you rooms facing the lake then the hoteliers think they are the king of the world. Checked in with purpose of night stay only. Got lake facing room at 2800 with breakfast. Small and old rooms. Breakfast was Limited but good. No parking. No assistance to get and send the luggage to parking.

Location location location. Nothing else.

The Hotel is defrauding customers. The rooms are very very small like storage room. No wardrobe. Bed sheet was very old and I am sure they don't change it for days. Toilets were stinking badly and the staff didn't clean it despite repeated requests. We booked for two days but left after one day only. They didn't refund anything. Better to avoid this Hotel than regretting.

Horrible and Pathetic Hotel.

World's WORST hotel. This hotel deserves ratings in minus (i think good rating given by fake users sponsoredby owner). Very bad experience. Very small rooms. No privacy as balcony was common and people were drinking alcohol and making noises. Staff very rude especially reception guy. Food was very poor. Only aloo puri served in the name of breakfast. Toilet were very smelly. Only one rupee clinic plus shampoo in the name of toiletries. Bed linens had stains.

We got bluffed by booking it online on the basis of location and pictures.
Immediately checked out.but they refused to refund our advance..
 Just spoiled the beginning of our tour..👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Worst hotel .Don’t ever pay them advance.they denied to give you refund.pathetic services.rude staff.
