Enjoyed the trip very helpful staff .food was awesome ..the prices are very reasonable ..if we got change then will stay here only ...nd at last the cab driver was really nice ...awesome city with nice people. ..

I visited kashmir in the month of august . Despite the warm climate, it was fun being there. Hotel staff was co operative and supportive. Food was also good. Just its location is slightly negative factor. But its pros overpower that also. So a good deal at a reasonable price.

We (family of 3) stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in the first week of August. Wonderful trip. The rooms and services are good, hotel staffs are very cooperative. We opted for a package directly from the hotel that included breakfast, dinner, airport transfer and 4 full day trips (in Tavera), at a reasonable rate. The driver was very decent and helpful in providing guidance throughout the tour. It is recommended for families and couples.

The only disadvantage is the location that is slightly offsite from prominent dal lake, but if you are opting for full day trips then it shouldn't matter as it takes hardly 10 mins from here and autos are available throughout the day.

Worth the money paid

Good option, if you are going for a budget hotel..location is not good.. This is inside a narrow street from road. Room is ok ok. service is good as per hotel standard. Breakfast is very nice and tasty, but i know only about vegetarian food

We visited Srinagar in the first week of August 2014
Though the hotel is located slightly off the main street, staff of the hotel and the driver accompanying us were courteous. Food was average, Rooms were relatively clean.
Needs improvement.

I have been a traveller in my bachelor days and had some bad hotel experiences also but this hotel and its staff has provided me worst hotel experience of life on my honeymoon trip. Managers of this Hotel Grand Sultan (Mr. Kaleem and Ms. Noor Hadia) are the worst persons you can find in hospitality sector. They not at all have any sense of responsibility or any care about your trip and timing. All they care about their money. 

Me and my wife planned our honeymoon to Kashir via a travel agent (Destino Trip travellers, Pune) May month. Our package vendor dealt with this hotel in kashmir for our trip and they made all possible worst arrangement for us. Since day 1 nothing was planned as per honemoon package. Rooms given are of average Oyo room type. Food quality was also not good. On the day of check out, hotel staff informed us that our package vendor has not paid them money so now we have to pay it then only we can take check out and they were not bothered that our flight may get missed. We gone to police station also but there also these people waste our time and made us miss our flight. Next day they made me pay entire 35K again for the package and then only checked us out. I had to bear extra amount of new flight booking also. But I was ready to do anything to just get out of that hell. 
I strongly suggest to boycott this hotel. I am not gonna visit kashmir again only due to staff of this hotel. Jannat e Kashmir feels like hell due ot people like Mr. Kaleem and Ms. Noor Hadia.

Pathetic and worst hotel of Kashmir

Most obnoxious receptionist come manager who could not be bothered to help at all was told go site seeing and come back at 6pm when checking should be 2/3pm 
Resturant top floor had a restroom/ toilet which I need to use it had a shower in it with a bucket so people are having showers in there 
Toilet had no seat so you had to hover finally lost all patients and when and booked elsewhere.  We suggest to defo give this one a miss
