Amazing hospitality
We stayed at the family-owned and operated Houseboat Fiji part of New Bul Bul group for five nights. We had a wonderful time staying here. The houseboat itself is lovely- beautifully decorated and wonderfully clean and tidy. The views over the lake and mountains are idyllic when sitting out on the deck. But most important is the fabulous hospitality given to us by Kawa bhai and his family. Nothing was too much trouble for him to arrange. A driver, the shikara ride and saffron. The family prepared us fabulous Kashmiri breakfasts and dinners - which were absolutely delicious and very unique. I now have the recipe for Kashmiri tea - great at any time of day. Roof Bhai showed us pictures of his and his friends adventures trekking with visitors through the Himalayas. We felt most welcome here and I am thankful to Kawa bhai and his family.

The houseboats are amazing from the inside as well as the outside. The staff is very friendly and the service was also very good. They treat you like family not like guest.
The surroundings are pretty open and there is no congestion of houseboats here. The water is also clean.Food was delicious  breakfast. Dinner was also good specially fish made by Bhabhi❤️
They provide free shikara ride from the lake's shore to the houseboat. It takes about 5-7 mins to reach there. It is completely surrounded by water and there is no other way of reaching the houseboat.
The owner of the houseboat Mr Kawa Bhai  is a very good and gentleman. He even guided us as to which places to see and what things to keep in mind when visiting these placesOver-all it was a very memorable experience staying in this houseboat and would love to come back again here. Also would recommend every one to experience the same

The location of house boat and the services offered were too good and place is amazing to stay with nice and caring staff. Everything was so perfect and staying there with friends and family was lovely experience . Perfect place to stay.

This was the best place we stayed during our whole 9days Kashmir trip. Food tasted home cooked and we were given a choice of what we like to eat. Food was tasty Abd reminded us of India village cooked food. The caretaker took care of all our needs and was always around when we need him. The owner was also very friendly and treated us like friends, guest and family. All in one. Made friends with the owner and would like to return to follow the owner to go trout fishing during my next trip. Will try to kill the rooster if it's still alive when I return. The rooster was cock-a-doodle doing day and evening but shuts up at night.

My wife and I stayed in this houseboat for one night. The boat has 4 rooms, but we were the only occupants. We were given the biggest room at the rear which had a 4-poster bed! The caretaker was very courteous and served us a lovely evening meal - it was freshly made and delicious. In the morning, the caretaker took us for a shikara ride on Dal Lake - the boat was very comfortable - a really joyful early morning ride. One night stay is enough to sample the experience of staying on a houseboat. Would definitely recommend.
