We were lucky to find a hotel at Sri Nagar with great hospitality. The day on which we stayed at this Hotel was Diwali festival , When we came back to Hotel after having fun at Gulmarg and entered Sri Nagar it was call for some march and Curfew whole day , There was nowhere like a night of Diwali no lightning and crackers but as we reached Hotel Midway whole family was welcomed by Dewali lightning , crackers and greeting and wishes of Happy Diwali, We were full of Joy and thanks a lot to our Kashmiri host owner and staff of Hotel Midway Sri Nagar, They make our Diwali memorable , 
Hotel Staff was helping caring they have managed our breakfast and Dinner was delicious.

It is a good budget hotel on a lane that runs parallel to the Boulevard road, a walking distance from the Shikara gates. There are a lots of vegetarian dhabas within walking distance but do note that the streets are not well lit. So this may be an issue for some in the late evenings and night, especially for families. This will not be an issue if you have your own/arranged vehicle. There was one helper at the hotel who was attending to all our requests, probably because we were the only family in the hotel at that time. Rooms were clean, big enough, and the helper was co-operative.

Midway is a good hotel. The best thing about the hotel is its manager Mr. Muneeb who is very courteous and cooperative. We unknowingly booked the hotel during Bakreed days when most of their staff was on holiday. Mr Muneed was very apologetic about it. He handled everything single handedly. He also assisted us while we were looking for a doctor when my wife got ill.
The hotel is very neat and clean. The rooms are spacious, well furnished. The hospitality service is upto the mark. The location is easily accessible, just 3-4 minutes walking distance from Dal lake ghat No. 2. The only problem is that the path leading from the ghat to the hotel is bit stinky. There's some sewerage problem in the street leading to the hotel and drains on the sideways do not present a very pretty site. I hope it is a temporary problem or else the hotel management should press upon the local administration to sort it out.
Overall the experience was more than satisfactory.

I Stayed here for 2-Nights with my family. The Rooms are clean & comfortable. However, I had a problem with Make My Trip booking. My booking was confirmed by make my trip, however when i arrived hotel, the manager Informed me that they have not received payment from Make My Trip & so he cannot give me the room. I called customer care and after some time the problem was solved and I got the room. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant. It has a tie up with another restaurant. Hence it will take about 30-45 minutes for your order to arrive. Overall It is a good Hotel to stay.

Good Hotel & Comfortable Stay

A nice place to stay, hardly 5mins walk from the Dal. 
As its not on the main boulevard, so had to struggle to find the exact location but it’s worth it. There is a local bakery right next to the hotel, which makes amazing authentic Kashmiri breads. Even if you don’t want to buy, just pass the store in the morning to experience the amazing bread making aroma. 
The hotel is spacious, rooms clean and the washroom neat and tidy. The staff was too polite, as everyone in Kashmir is. They don’t have an in-house kitchen or pantry but the nearest restaurants provide free delivery service. 
Free Wifi is available but the network is a bit slow. Was unable to get the reception in my room on the third floor. An atm, general store and a barber shop are hardly 200mtrs away from the hotel. 
A good place to stay.
