It was amazing staying at this place hope we will visit again food was awesome my wife my son they were very much relaxed out here though I was busy with photography but they were very comfortable see you soon

wonder ful experience and delight ,satisfy , nonforgetable experience . its very happy journey for me and my travelling partner .hotel staff is very good and delicious food and hygenie clean environment .

This is tough one to score.

3.5 for location. It’s not the owners fault but this place is impossible to find on foot using google maps. The Mall is closer than for many hotels but note it’s uphill and some of that climb is on a rudimentary path and steps behind the hotel which might not be to everyone’s taste at night or with bags.

3 for the hotel fabric. The first room I was given smelt damp and had a noisy dripping tap in the bathroom. This was changed on request and the new room was much better. However there is no heating anywhere and in Feb. this side of the ridge got no sun so it was very chilly in the evening. Neither room had any view to speak of.

4 for the staff. I was very ill during my stay (not from the hotel’s food) and the restaurant guy in particular was great in bringing drinks , even sending out for something late in the evening when they were out of stock. They also booked a very steady car and driver for my onward transport.

So overall a 4 as I wasn’t the easiest customer they’ve had and you can’t give half marks!

The Ambience was good and the staff was too supportive I recommend this to people visiting in Shimla.
Talking about the food it was amazing.
The view from the balcony was also good. 
So I recommend people to stay in this hotel

Even though the hotel is old but conditions of the rooms are decent. Very near to Mall road. But the most exceptional was the staff behaviour and their enthusiasm to make guests stay comfortable.i would like to mentione Mr. Lal who was exceptional in our two days of stay. Thank you Mr. Lal for the services and will definitely recommend this hotel.

A Difficult One to Score

Stayed here for one night . Hygiene is a big issue throughout property. Toilet was dirty, basin was broken. Room was small. Restaurant food was way too costly, taste was okiesh. Basin in restaurant seemed like it hadn’t been washed for weeks. And we paid around 3k for such a property. On my return we stayed at other hotel. Definitely avoid this hotel.

Budget hotel. But seems v old property.Rooms are small.For couples it's ok. But if you have 2 kids then you need some more space. Gallery and toilet v untidy. Food is just average.Horrible staircase if you want to go to mall road through steps . Only good thing is that staff is good and helpful.

Not recommended at all

For one day or two its an  ok type hotel , But service is really good ,people are very cooperative & try to satisfy the guest . It's close to mall road , but you have to climb a lot so you need good energy . so its cost effective hotel

Average Stay in Shimla

We booked the hotel a week in advance and got a confirmation. The day of our arrival they called around 2:30 pm (we were already on our way by hired car with planned arrival around 5)  to say that there was no availability due to unforeseen circumstances and they would transfer us to another hotel but they refused to give the name. We declined. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Be careful: they cancel bookings last minute

Booked through Sampuran Yatra company.
Not recommend either the hotel and company. Both are pathetic in quality and response.
Fouling smell not only from room but also in the canteen.
Bathroom and room floor are wet, they don't even have a dry cloth.
Blankets are not cleaned. Looks are they are the used one.
