This is mine and my husbands first trip to India and so far it has been pretty amazing. Aapno heritage home definitely has put our trip over the top and we're going to miss this amazing family. Ajay and Ram have been more then accommodating! The food and service you receive here is excellent and would recommend staying here if you ever plan to travel to Samode.

its awesome place to stay. my mother and me really enjoyed at aapno heritage, typical rajasthani authentic paintings. Well behaving hosts as well as very caring. Mr. Ajay and his family are great host. Its a real homestay with hot and homemade food.. I miss it

My husband and I stayed here in may early in our India trip. We didn't really know what to expect as this was our first time at a homestay. Ajay and his family were amazing! The house was beautifully painted by the family, all the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food they cooked was delish! They really showed us rural India by letting us be a part of their life for a few days. 

The village does have some shops that are worth checking out, but definitely go to the palace for a tour and breakfast!

We have continued to keep in touch with this amazing family and hope one day that we can return to Samode and spend more time getting to know our new friends.

A beautiful Homestay Haveli with authentic Rajasthani decor,motifs and paintings. Good and very caring hosts. Wonderful ambience with peacocks and camels abound. Hot and homely food is served although it is tad costly than local fare. One must try Dal Bati and Churma as it an unforgettable experience. The icing on the cake is that this place is pet friendly and our Golden Retriever Troy had whale of a time.

Sometimes you hit Gold even on a wild goose chase... off the beaten track & our forever itch to explore new places ... About 40 kms from Jaipur in a tiny village just outside Samode palace area we hit upon this Home Stay Option "Apno Heritage". A closer look unveiled story of wonderful artist who erstwhile worked in Gwalior palace for late Mr Madhavrao Scindhia specialising in miniature paintings. He along with his Wife & Son have painted their entire house come home stay with fantastic Rajasthani miniature paintings from wall to ceiling giving it a sense of being in a small palace ( took them 2 .5 years) ... On request he prepared some simple Dal & Rice for Lunch though we reached very late & displayed all his paintings... Sad part was that in spite of all his skills & talent they are struggling to make ends meet & wanted us to suggest ways & means to highlight his talent & home stay option to the outside World. Staying cost in the a/c rooms is rs 1200 per night. We assured him we will try to do our part...

Delightful Authentic Homestay

Aapno heritage awesome place for stay

We had booked to stay at this place, booking the day before on booking.com.  

The next morning on the day we plan to travel to them, they decide to cancel, claiming they already have advance bookings.  Not sure how this can happen exactly. Super disappointing and very poor service as we had been looking forward to getting away. This should not have been allowed to happen.
