Orchha Home-stay

After the bustle in Delhi, our three night stay in Orchha at the house of brother and sister Vishal and Neetu was very enjoyable. The homestay is located on the outskirts of Orchha where you can enjoy village life. Neighbour children coming to the compound in the afternoon to receive extra school support from Vishal or the lady who will come and do your laundry on request. We (my wife and me and my wife’s sister) had two rooms with shared bathroom and toilet and direct access to the outside space. The rooms are basic, but clean and perfectly fit the expectation. There is no airco, but the ventilator keeps the room temperature acceptable. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared for you on request at a limited extra charge. Romi, who is managing the overall Friends of Orchha project is very helpful in getting things arranged, from booking a room to pick up from railway station or any other request you would have. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and if our travel schedule was not so tight we would have loved to stay longer!!
