We had the best ginger lemon honey tea at the monarch rama palace restaurant terrace on our hole trip in india, overlooking the impressing ford :). Very much worth a try. Kind and friendly people, willing to serve any wish and having a interesting chat about Yoga.

Nice place, with comfortable bed, hot water, amazing breakfast and an extraordinary host! He took care very well of us, helped us with everything and made us feel like we were at home. Great investment of our time and money!

For the tariff paid, the room and amenities were good. Hot water was available 24 hours. Due to the current situation the hotel had stopped the kitchen facilities. However, the tea shops, facilities for tea, breakfast, lunch , dinner are available at walking distance.from the hotel Overall, we were happy with our 3 days stay.

We had a lovely stay. We liked the atmosphere of the place, with the small garden and the sofas at the reception. The location is a bit in the outskirts of Orchha, but the town is so small that it was not a problem to reach the monuments by feet; at night you might feel a bit isolated though. Unfortunately, the view from the terrace is now obstructed by the neighboring building. 
The staff was very nice, we enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace and they stored our luggage on the day we checked out. Hot water available. The most annoying thing was the fact that the door did not shut properly and the bathroom had no real window, so there was a bit of noise coming from the street (of course, being a small town, the noise was still bearable) and mosquitoes coming in. 
Overall, it was a very good place for that price!

This is definitely budget accommodation and for the price, people who stay in Indian budget accommodation will know what I meen.
If you read my review in Gwalior you will read the vast difference in the staffs attitude.
When I arrived at the hotel they knew I was coming because I phoned the day before.
I was greeted by a lovely gentleman Mr Pramod.
I asked Mr Pramod if I could have a cup of coffee Mr Pramod said of course, he showed me to my room and I left my rucksack in the room.
I had a very nice chat with Mr Pramod drinking my coffee, when I had finished Mr Pramod asked me would you now like to check in, so polite.
In the evening a Mr Santosh takes over and also cooks breakfast, his Enligsh is not as good as Mr Pramod, but I can’t speak a word of there language, again what a lovely gentleman.
In the morning for the price he cooked a nice breakfast, and more than once asked if I was happy, for that price yes I was.
Yes I could find faults but at that price with such nice staff I would not have the audacity to.
I would recommend this accommodation, and Mr Pramods works to keep it clean.
I did not like my stay as much in Gwalior as Orchha, nothing to do with accommodation.
Orchha is a very small town with a very nice feel to it, and for a tourist the monuments are better and much closer together.

The hotel is reasonably well maintained and clean. The service is good and the staff is courteous and helpful. 
It is on the main road in Orccha and you need not travel very far from the centre near the Ram Raja Temple.
We were happy with the stay there.

My husband and I stayed at Monach Rama for nearly a week in Sept 2017. Lovely helpful staff and clean comfortable room. Terrific location being close to all Orchha offers but nice and quiet - we walked everywhere from here. Would happily stay again.

Good place to stay overnight in Orchha

Excellent value

Stayed on 3rd Oct 2018. This property was recommended by our local tour guide. After visiting palace and other place, we just followed google map and it took us somewhere in the forest. We regained our track after 15 mins and found the property. (Correct location to be updated) It's actually a typical lodge and best suitable for overnight travelers. No parking space except the front area adjoining the road where two cars can be parked.We left the hotel early morning and they called back to get our original IDs. Special thanks to night shift care taker.

Budget Hotel

This has been the worse hotel in our trip in India. Dirty room and dirty towels, wifi not connected and not friendly. Too much noise. They showed us two different rooms with the same price and later they wanted to get more money when we chose.
