I had a very excellent experience in Alif Laila Houseboats. The Food was awesome and the staff was helpful. Me and my friends had a great stay and we also went to shikara ride in the dal lake in the evening.

Really had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay at this House Boat.This Houseboat made our vacation time a hit! Awesome location, great service and very comfortable and good behavior of the staff as well.

Very nice houseboat. You'd be transferred to the houseboat from Ghat No. 9 on Shikara for free. The houseboat is huge and has 3 rooms and dining and hall! There are many antiques and gives you a heritage feel. Was very comfortable stay!

The houseboat have a royal feeling to us. We stayed there for two nights. The Shikaras from Ghat number 9 of the Dal Lake take you and your luggage for free to the houseboat. The staff was very courteous and prepared delicacies as demanded by us. There was a local person who came at the houseboat to sell us shawls and stoles and other Kashmiri stuff which were reasonably priced. As you enter the houseboat, there is a drawing room then a dining room and then the rooms start. The interiors were fantabulously doneup, however the exterior was disappointing. There were one or two mice in the houseboat, which were scarry. Overall a nice value for money experience.

Heaven on Earth

Awesome experience! 

Food & Hospitality was Very Good

It was very hot weather and the room was even hotter than outside.There was no airconditioning. 
In the afternoon, the harsh sun would shine directly on the bed if you leave the curtains open and if you keep them closed, you cutout the cool breeze.

Bath fittings were not working properly. Water pressure was not enough to take a shower. 
In the name of bathing accessories, there was only a soap. Not even shampoo, showergel comb etc.

Very substandard facilities for a room of rent 6 thousand a night.

Overpriced, very hot and substandard

Jutt out like hell as soon as you can. Highly Unsecure, for eating food you'll have to venture out.. I fail to understand why would anyone visit Kashmere?? We have a lot of places in himachal, uttarakhand. Kashmere is one lousy and dangerously volatile place. Go there on your own risk.

Not worth more than a nights stay.

First of all I was put not into Alif Laila but in another House Boat "Gulfaam". With very poor cleaning and service. It was a bad experience. No bills given for food bills, but charged.
