Pride of India house boat is away from the hustle bustle. It has a lovely view of the mountains from the room as there are no other house boats on its side, and it is located in a secluded area. The rooms are cosy and comfortable . One of the best things, they offer an amazing warm hospitality and are always at your service. Being a girl, I was not sure of staying alone, but the host and his family ensured I felt comfortable. Cherry on the cake, they also offered to take me to the best shops at Dal Lake. It was amazing to enjoy the evening shikara ride alone. The host believes in building a relationship with the guests, and this is why it's a must stay place if you are looking for a home away from home vibe.
