Room was more towards back of the building, unreachable to mobile telephone signals, had to walk down to the hotel entrance for better signal. Mosquitoes were too many and uncontrollable, shower room window did not have mosquito protection. There is no food service other than a poor quality/taste complimentary breakfast.

Our family came on a visit to India , we did booking through OYO booking was confirmed and full payment was paid!

But we arrived at the destination , to our surprise the hotel said, we did not confirmed the booking.

It was 10pm and we do not have any option but to cancel and look for another hotel.

Unfortunately the call center in India was very lethargic and irresponsible and kept us waiting for hours standard with small children.

So, I very strongly advise not to do any booking and make payment as they are not professional and getting a refund was a nightmare.

I strongly not recommend booking through OYO travel booking 

Confirmed booking was cancelled without notice 

I'm a foreigner who planned to visit India with my family of 11 members including a child of 1.5 years. So when i looked for accommodation options my friend suggested me the app OYO, since I believed India as a country with such advanced technology i decided to go ahead with booking my accommodation through OYO at Panasia Residency, vadapalani, Chennai. They asked me to make the full payment of INR. 13K and I did it too. And I did my booking 20 days in advance to my stay. 

So when I arrived at the hotel at 9.30p.m at night with my entire family along with 15 luggages and a small kid, the hotel manager casually said that they have cancelled my booking as they have allocated 33 rooms to OYO but they get booking for 40 rooms and asked us to contact OYO and ask for a shift of hotel. 

Now I'm someone who is clueless of OYO or of India and it was raining and my entire family was waiting outside and I have bragged so many good things of OYO to them I was shocked and helpless and embarrassed. 

I tried calling OYO customer service but I had to repeat my story 6 times because they put me on hold or tried transferring to a senior executive who never picked up my call and the line kept on getting disconnected, the funny part is they connected my call to another customer and we were blasting at each other thinking its the customer service representative. It took about 1 hour for them to answer my call, by that time with the help of the taxi driver I was able to arrange another hotel and shifted my family to that hotel still i didn’t get a positive response from OYO. Finally one person answered and said that they have escalated the matter and would return my call but they never did. All I requested was to refund my money immediately as I had to make payment to the other hotel. But it was pointless requesting as they have policies which doesn't consider customers' emotions. 

I have few questions to the founder/CEO of OYO

1.How would you feel if you had to stay on the road with your big family and kid and 15 luggages in the rain at 9.30p.m at a foreign land that your clueless about and you try calling customer care looking for help but they put you on hold for 6 times? 

2.If you can take the payment money then and there at the time of booking then why do you take 7 to 14 working days to refund the money, in that case you could have allowed us to make the payment also in 7 to 14 working days right? 

3.Why did your app allowed us to make the booking when the hotel was already over booked? 

I know for you I'm just one customer who is trying to get some justice from you, but if you can't provide reliable customer service no matter how cheap your accommodations are you will go out of the market very soon, because the type of emotional trauma you are triggering within the customer because of your negligent behaviour is horrible. For you it might be a small amount but for me it's big money and I feel cheated. 

I may not come from a country with such advanced technology but at least we have reliable service. 

I will not recommend OYO to anyone as it is not reliable and trustworthy and it brings alot of bad memories of my trip to India.

Worsr worst worst experience

One of the worst hotel one can find on earth. Unhygienic Bath & room, cockroaches everywhere. Dirty & stained bed sheets, when complained to change, Room boy Suresh arrogantly argued & refused to do.Photos will tell how the sheets & bath rooms were.Breakfast won't be ready on time.
Oyo promised Clean linen & hygienic washrooms - what they have provided. When contacted Oyo someone said concerned person will call within 24 hours,till now NO.
I will not recommend this hotel or OYO  to any one.Poor service & worst place.

Worst & poorly maintained Hotel

Worest hotel I stayed in my life rats r running in room  till morning I could not sleep do to rats don't even step in to the hotel its not like shown in photo so don't even think about this hotel in vadapalani  near by deacent hotels available for reasonable price
