Sankey Lake View - PHG

Sankey lake is one lake in the middle of Bangalore city apart from Ulsoor lake which is a saving grace to the once garden city of India. There are very few such lakes left in Bangalore now and its a charm in the evening too.
There is a park attached to this lake where family and kids can have some good time during holidays. We can have evening snacks at one of the street carts at the entrance to this park.....

One lake to save the beauty of this city.......

Sankey Lake View is among Platinum Hotel Group-PHG situated on the bank of Saneky Lake, 11th cross road near CV Raman Road Bangalore. I booked this apartment through booking.com, which enlists very attractive facilities, breakfast included etc. But none of such facilities are provided by hotel. Even for breakfast, few dry bread slices are given. There is shared kitchen, micro-oven, Refrigerator. .I faced lot of difficulties, there was no light in the room and the caretaker contacted manager many times, but he could not respond and after two days when I banged him, came and restored light. There is no provision of hot water, though geyser is there. Overall, location is good as it is on lake shore, but food points and shops are faraway

i chose to stay in this poorly managed place for only one reason: convenience in terms of location and proximity to my client office.

Besides that, I can't think of *anything* nice to review about it. 

There is only ONE staff member here at all times, and they rotate him with some of the worst housekeeping people you would have ever met. Let's not even get to good hospitality and service. That's too far fetched. 

Room cleaning is abysmal - at best it's been passable. I now change my own sheets. 

The toilet jetspray in my room has been broken since 2 weeks and I'm tired of complaining about it. 

The AC is only for decoration. There is no remote, and it never works. 

The single housekeeping persons have ranged from people asking for money for doing a miserable job to the new one who locks the main gate after 9:30 pm. Even after continuous knocking and ringing the bell, it took him 10 minutes to open it while I stood outside like an idiot. 

PHG seems to choose the absolute WORST people for manning thus property. 

Stay here only if the location is of convenience to your work.

Please fix my room's toilet and try and hire people who do their job properly and can communicate (at least) in Hindi, if not English. this is a hotel / so called 'serviced apartment'... Feels more like a discarded and neglected motel. With some basic quality control, thorough cleaning and people who do their job, you can turn this into a goldmine for your business just because of it's location.

Pathetic management. a pity for such a great location!

The location of the hotel is good But the hotel needs to do more and improve there services. The rooms were ok ok. It included breakfast which was way below the par. The staff is also needs to be more trained.
