I visited Goa in Feb 2021 and stayed at Cactus guesthouse. Since it was non-ac I was expecting the room to get really warm like other non-ac accommodations. But no, the room in Cactus stayed pretty cool as it stays in shade of a big tree outside.
Most noticeable attributes were cleanliness, a caring host and it’s proximity to the beach. It’s on the beach.
I stayed in studio on the 1st floor. From here we don’t get the view of the beach (due to a big hut/restaurant and tree outside), but we get everything else we usually need.

Clean, Cool and Friendly

Me and my husband stayed in the Studio room for 4 nights from 9th November which was very homely and comfortable and had everything we needed. The only down point was that they didn't seem like they wanted to clean our room very much although the Aunt who did the cleaning did have a lot to see to and was sometimes unable to get hold of the owner Angelo who I guess must have been very busy. However, for a studio apartment close to the beach it was very good value for money and a good place to stay in Arambol if you want to a kitchen based accommodation. The view of the sea from the terrace was also lovely.

A good stay, very homely

Cactus guesthouse is without a doubt the best deal you can make in Arambol. And Arambol is probably the best place in Goa, so.. technically one could say this is the ultimate Goan experience. The rooftop bungalow is amazing, the guests are all good people, the neighborhood is awesome, you are close to all the cool places and you are 1 minute away from the beach.. the view is magnificent, and the price is very cheap! So do not hesitate to book here if u are staying in Arambol. You will also have the pleasure of meeting the wonderful owners! Helen, which is in charge of the bookings and placing everybody in their respective rooms, always smiling and often doing important work on her computer. Angelo, which is the handyman and creative carpenter coming up with solutions to most of the problems you may encounter. And Dominik of course, a young, very polite and diligent guy which also always greets you with a smile and wonderful conversation.

King of Arambol

I stayed in Cactus Guest House in Arambol for over a month, first alone and then with my son. The room was on the second floor and had an attached bath and a small, well-equipped kitchen. It was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The guest house and the rooms are cleaned every day. The hosts, Helenda and Agnelo, were very kind and helpful. As they are locals they can help with anything you may need or want to know about Arambol and Goa, including rides to the railway station, airport and places of interest to visit and bike hire. They treated me as part of their family. I was lucky to find this place and I recommend it to those who want a comfortable holiday in Arambol. The beach is just next to the guest house and there are good restaurants all around.

Awesome Guest House in Arambol

I have lived at the Cactus Guesthouse for the whole of January in a studio apartment. It has been a wonderful experience. The apartment is clean and nice, nice little kitchen with the possibility to cook yourself, and the guesthouse has probably the best wifi in Armbol. Here is also safe and a good and peaceful atmosphere. As a single senior, I felt comfortable here. Safe and nice.The owners, Helen and Angelo are the cutest people, who will do everything for their guests. It is Helens aunt who is cleaning, and she does well. At the top of the roof, Helen and Angelo have built two small wooden houses that you can rent. Here at the roof terrace, at the top of the wooden houses is the most beautiful view of the sea.

Lovely little family run guesthouse

The staff is super attentive and help you with everything you need, but if you decide to stay here try not to do it on the ground floor (we can't climb stairs, so we have no alternative), request height and sea view, if you go for a single night it doesn't matter but for more yes.

Normal but acceptable.

My husband and I settled in Cactus, which we were very happy about. Our planned hotel was in a huge loss along the road, near the market, there were cars, bikes, dust, noise, in general, what I was so afraid of. The cactus was almost on the seafront, a view of the coast, silence, only broken by the waves. Beauty, cleanliness. - Room with a shower bed, table, chairs, shelves, ventilator, etc. Everything needed. Even from the mosquitoes was stuffed.
