Really interesting lodging! Beautuful viewing tower for seeing surnise, sunset, and northern lights. I would have preferred a more robust door to separate the bathroom from the rest of the room but great otherwise. Really nice lighting and use of the space. Only 15 minutes drive from Secret Lagoon!

Both our room and the viewing room were as described. Very nice

The owner was very responsive to cleaning our room after someone else had gone in our room on the wrong date. It was appreciated that the problem was resolved swiftly.

Beautiful observation deck, you are sharing with 3 other apartments but we were lucky and had it to ourselves that night. Great use of space, lots of outlets, small but effective and well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, very nice bathroom with good space. We loved our night here!

Very cool property to stay in.  The room was excellent and the viewing tower was amazing.

The only issue we had was getting the door open. We used the given code but the door was stuck. It was difficult to deal with on the incredibly windy night that we arrived. Other than getting in, we loved the tower. The coloured lights were a nice touch.

Unique place to stay with a surprising amount of amenities. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, warm, and spotless. We wish we could have stayed longer. We appreciated the place even more after looking through at the photo book in the top of the tower and learning the construction was a labor of love and completed over several years by the family that owns it.

This was THE best stay we’ve had in Iceland. Exactly as described and shown in photos. Beautiful property, easy to get to, well equipped and beautiful room. We watched sunset & sunrise from the top floor, amazing views! Would definitely stay here again if we return to Iceland.

Very unique accommodation for our second night in Iceland. We had the top unit which was nice. The top door panoramic lounge area was really nice in the evening and for breakfast. The communication was not great but I called the phone number provided and they were able to share the necessary information.

This property is amazing and the host was great. An incredible use of what may have been an old grain tower as accommodations, one room per floor. It's silent and the top floor is a panoramic view of the landscape. Feels remote but is quick to Flúðir for dinner. A beautiful spot to wake up in the snow!

Solstice anniversary stay

We loved our stay here. We rented 3 of the 4 rooms and had the top area to ourselves. This was perfect for us to get together and - on the first night - see the Northern Lights !The property is pretty unique. All the rooms were well heated and surprisingly well equipped kitchen wise given the space available.

Easy self-check-in and parking. Thrilled to have the top apartment for the view. (another review mentioned the wind - which I actually LOVED hearing, but do note that you will hear it blow!)Could use more in the way of black-out curtains. We hung our travel towels over the glass bathroom door to help block light in mid-summer. Bed very comfortable but small. Overall great place. It's beautiful, especially the lovely sitting room at the very top. Gorgeous! Did not know there was coffee available and had made a stop to purchase, otherwise all else true to instructions. Bring your own food - plenty of dishes, hot water, great shower/bath room, etc. And so convenient to hidden lagoon and other spots!!

Very unique property - incredible views

Overall a very unique, beautiful, cozy place to visit in Iceland! Would highly recommend! I can tell a lot of heart and consideration went into the building of this tower, with so many lovely touches in the design. I loved looking through the photo album upstairs showing the history of this building. If it wasn't so cloudy during our visit, this place would provide incredible views of the Northern Lights with so many windows in every direction.I want to warn light sleepers that in the winter the wind can become extremely noisy and it was howling/whistling all night long, so just make sure to bring your ear plugs. That being said, my husband is a heavy sleeper and he slept great and also thought the wind sounded cool. :)

We  loved our one night stay at the Klettar Tower while traveling the Golden Circle.  It's a really unique and romantic place to spend the night.  The rooms (there are four total) are very modern, clean, and well laid out (especially given that the rooms are approximately 15-foot-diameter circular floorplan).  Be sure to take advantage of the top floor observation room and bring a beverage to enjoy while taking in the beautiful scenery there.  The rooms include a small kitchenette with sink, two burner stove, and dishes/glassware which is convenient as it is a fair distance to nearest large town (Selfoss) for dinner (so plan accordingly).   Overall, a very unique and memorably enjoyable deviation from the typical hotel room.

Great Romantic Stay for Couples

I really liked to stay at Klettar tower. It was modern, clean and cozy. The bathroom was really nice, soap and towels included. The room had a small kitchenette with a fridge and utensils. The area was quiet, with some horses nearby and a cute dog that came for a cuddle once in a while. We met the friendly and helpful owner a couple of times. We rented a car while in Iceland, and sights like Thingvellir, Reykjadalur and the geysir were in a reasonable driving distance.
