This was an incredibly charming renovated space with gorgeous layout and a full kitchen. My only caveat is that I am immune compromised and putting incense sticks out in the living room made it unpleasant. They were completely unnecessary

Unique home with comfortable accommodations.  Difficult to find at first but once we figured out which building and door, it was wonderful

We absolutely adored this place! It's a nice mix of historic and modern design. It's extremely comfortable and a great home base in Akureyri. I wish we had stayed another night or two. Next trip!

A very beautiful historical building. Kitchen is basic. Somehow the cooking oil was kept side by side with hand soap. At beginning I took it as dish soap and was wondering why plate was even more oily … ends up we dared not to use it as cooking oil either .Check in is a bit confusing. I did not get email instructions with in 48 hours. So I have to call the property. The key lock is painted white, same color as the wall, which took us a while to find it out.

Great location with a great view! The loft is very unique and charming and has everything you need! I just wouldn’t recommend if you’re traveling with older people or with kids because of the stairs. Other than that, it’s perfect!

Would highly recommend staying here! Very cool, interesting old building within easy walking distance from the main restaurant/shopping area. Very well decorated and we were very comfortable here. Comfy beds and good views as well

Charming 2 bedroom apartment in a historic building. I saw pictures of the the house from the days it was a store across from the docks at a restaurant in town. Very comfortable beds. Nice kitchen and decor.  Clean.

The first experience we had was not being able to get in the front door.  It took 10 minutes.  The lock is extremely difficult and hurts your hands to get in with the key.  We were glad we were on the ground floor because of getting our suitcase upstairs.  The coffee had one cup left in the container so we skipped getting any coffee. This is a nice place overall.  The street noise is very loud.  You can also hear your neighbors. People can also see in with the blinds that are up in the windows. The parkings spaces are extremely tight.  You have to make sure you suck in when you get out of your vehicle.  I did not feel very secure with the code to the lock on the front door plain as day.  Plus side is that it is about a 10-15 minute walk to go downtown to get something to eat.  All photos attached are from the front door

Really enjoyed our stay here – nice, clean property. Easy to get to, property located at edge of town Myvatn direction – bridge end. Good, clearly defined parking. We stayed for two nights. Ground floor, bright and spacious, nice kitchen area with coffee machine. Lounge area with big tv.Only possible issue is you can hear people walking about in room/apartment above, but honestly that didn't effect our stay at all.Walked into town, easy to do along quite roads/paths. Ice cream parlour across the road. Botanical gardens close by – really worth a visit. Drove to local supermarkets.Would go back to happily.
