There isn't much to see in Grindavik, so you're not here for the view, but rather either on your way somewhere else or staying over after a Blue Lagoon visit. If this is the case and you're looking for good value for your money, this is a good choice. The building is rather ugly from the outside, which is no surprise if you consider that in winter these are the sleeping quarters of the (mostly polish) workers of the fish processing plant which surrounds you. Without google maps I might never have noticed the entrance... There are two kinds of accommodation: room with en-suite and sleeping back accommodation with a shared bathroom. If you go for the en-suite, you'll also find a serviceable little kitchen, two beds and a desk. In short, all your basic needs are taken care of. Cleanliness was spotless, both in the room and the bathroom. My room was noisy at times (there was some fan or cooling unit running in the production floor beneath it). The manager offered to give me one of the sleeping bag rooms additionally (free of charge), should I have trouble sleeping. So, while this isn't premium accommodation, at least you can see that they'll do their best to keep you happy. In summary, this is a good place to stay if you're in the area and on a budget.
