We also had a bad experience here: quick and quick reception, our room was attached to the living room and other rooms and it was really small. In the bathroom I even sat down and touched my knee to the sink drains (I don't have long legs!). As soon as we arrived we had to camp a little better because apart from the two dressing rooms and a kind of mini-walled cabinet there is no other furniture. In the bathroom I found two pubic hairs of you know who is talking.

Weight

The rooms overlook a living room and the kitchen and bathroom. So much so that it is noisy as long as the rooms are not equipped with double doors. Close enough to the city centre and therefore very convenient and easy to access. The SPA presented in the welcome photo with garden is out of service and the garden abandoned in July 2018.

A spacious room but a noisy guesthouse

It's a good location, but unfortunately it's very limited, the hygiene is poorly maintained, the bathrooms are sluggish and microscopic, we had dirty towels and a very quick and quick reception.

It's just good location.

This place is a short drive from town. Could walk if you wanted to. It was ok for one night. Your pretty standard guesthouse. The kitchen was pretty decent compared to other places in terms of having all the necessary cooking stuff. The biggest issue I had was that the rooms all surround a small living room and are very close to the kitchen. If anyone is out there talking you will hear it. There is a small little hot tub.

Ok for a night

Had a spacious room with double bed+1 single for my kid, private bathroom. Towels qtr not ready in the room upon arrival and a dirty one from previous guest was still hanging in the bathroom.
Used the outside warm pot in a peaceful garden.
Spacious room, 8 seats, number of cutlery and so on should be improved.
Bbq available in the garden.
Check in was quick but with little care.


All right

I'll be very frank -- quick and unhealthy reception, but that's the downside. Going in order: -- stained and dirty sheets -- towels used by a previous guest -- hair and pubic hair of unknown origin between shower and sheets -- a comfortable bed -- having found a rainy evening the grinder was pouring a continuous stream of water out of the window of the room -- unsound rooms and we had the misfortune of finding noisy neighbors.

To be Avoided

The room was adequate although I have never seen a bathroom, with shower included, so incredibly small. There was not enough cups or plates in the kitchen for all the guests, nor enough seating for everyone to try and eat breakfast. The one fridge was inadequate. I had to ring when we arrived to check-in and also ring again to find the owner to check-out. There was a darkness blind in the bedroom (for the bright Icelandic nights) and tourist information in the entryway. The location was too bad; close enough to the community swimming pool and a convenience store. A 20-minute walk downhill into mid-town. There were 5 parking places off-street.

Probably will not stay here again.

Great place for a touch and escape with friendly guests, great rooms and a two-step supermarket open until late, great to take advantage of the common kitchen.

It's convenient.

The kitchen is big enough and has everything you need. The living area is in the middle of all the bedrooms. Bathroom was kind of dirty. Its in the middle of town with a shop across the street and the rest also on walking distance. It was very noisy though but maybe we had bad luck with the other people, watching movies in the middle of the night and going in and out the front door.

Good kitchen but small bedroom

The owner is very pleasant, but be warned that there is nobody on site until 4pm each day and then nobody after 8pm, so you have a limited window of time for contact.

The room was very nice, with a little fridge and ample heating. The bathroom got messy but that was the fault of the travellers we shared with rather than the guesthouse.

It is well placed for Akureyri and the town is a short walk away. I would stay here again.
