Hotel Tókert

We enjoyed a really delicious lunch here recently. Initial table service was slow and we had to flag down a waiter to get his attention, after seating ourselves and waiting to be acknowledged. However, the food was well worth waiting for. The pork rib dish (which didn't actually resemble ribs as I know them) was amazing, and the mangalica pork was juicy, flavoursome and had been cooked with care. The duck leg dish also delivered, although the potato mash was a little underwhelming compared to the tasty baby jacket potatoes that arrived with the pork. An espresso and a shared dessert of somlói galuska finished lunch off nicely, although I always find that the canned whipped cream gets a little excessive on desserts like this. With an atmospheric thunderstorm in the background, and after a long day of walking in the Bükk National Park, this meal really completed our day beautifully.
