I stayed in a ground floor flat for 6 people that would be great for sharers who are not couples. There were 2 bedrooms each with twin beds. Plus 2 single beds in the living room that doubled as sofas. Although on this occasion there was only me and a friend, so we had the luxury of a bedroom each, it would be great to come back with family members. Prater Residence is centrally located and there is a shopping centre across the road plus bars and restaurants nearby. Central Budapest isn't huge so if you are reasonably fit it is possible to walk to most places but there is also a Metro stop a few minutes walk away. I liked the idea that rather than juggle with one key you are each given a card to collect the key from the 24 hour reception. This would make staying with a group of friends more manageable. They staff were all friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English.
