Casa Colonial Atitlan

We not only felt at home, but everything was pristine. I wish I would have taken more pictures to share. One can tell the place was not only built with much attention to detail, but is also run and maintained with love and care. San Antonio Palopó is a small town away from the usual tourist circuit where the local people have kept their native roots and customs. It's people are very friendly and we had a great time visiting the ceramic and textile factories there. At Casa Colonial our hosts were extremely helpful and were always there to support any need in an easy going and laid back way. The view from the hotel terrace has got to be one of the best on the lake! The sunset we were able to experience was just awesome! We were just so delighted to get to know the place and it's owners, we hope to go back soon!
