Stayed there for New Year's. Beautiful place, magnificent views overlooking the lake, tastefuly done, warm, pet friendly welcoming our Nichole.  We fell in love with Ralou, the hotel's mascot...  Excellent service and good food... We plan to revisit when the covid madness is over and we can mingle safely.

We wanted to stay only one night and eventually we stayed two, even we wanted to stay more, but we should go back for work. Motobikes friendly. Pet friendly. Excellent food. Decent and clean room. Fantastic view. Very nice and helpful staff. We thank all of them.

the hotel is a hidden gem. It has a great locationAmazing, the views are breathtaking,
 it was very relax and pleasant stay, were almost alone in the pool area. We had a clean and comfortable room with balcony. Hotel has good restaurant, helpful personnel, nice pool area, however coffee in the bar is a bit expensive

We stayed one day, and one night at Althea Hotel, Thermos, Greece.

The hotel was stunning, and very clean.
There was everything there for breakfast, you could think of, which was delicious and exceeded our expectations.

The staff were friendly, and you could tell they had good training. Violetta, the receptionist, especially went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We would certainly visit again.

We wanted to visit Lake Trachonidia near Thermo in Greece during our camping trip and as there were no camp sites decided to give ourselves a hotel break. We chose Hotel Alhaia and certainly made the right decision. The location is perfect - next to lake and cyclable to Thermo - the family are delightful, the food, especially the breakfasts, yummy, the pool had comfy sunbeds and is very clean, the rooms are very clean with a Decent size balcony with lake view. Whoever the gardener is, the grounds are lovely. My only tichy complaint is my dislike of shower curtains.

Returned to my parents roots with my wife and two kids!! Great hotel with pool and what an amazing view of Lake Trichonida!! Management and Staff super friendly the Hotel also has a Restaurant and Pool Bar!! the Town of Thermo is a 10 min drive..see you next year Althaia :)

What a find! Overlooking Lake Trichonida, the largest lake in Greece, this Class A hotel offers immaculate accomodations, well appointed common areas,  superb locally grown cuisine, an inviting swimming pool with an adjacent full bar and a view like no other. We took pictures galore of stunning sunsets and beautiful reflections of the moon on the still water of the lake.
The staff is extremely friendly and eager to please at this pet friendly hotel in Petrohori Greece which is just minutes away from Thermo, a bustling village offering many amenities and a town square that is hopping in the evenings. 
You will not want to miss this gorgeous hotel which is perfect for any occasion in the heart of Greece.


Welcome, clean, spacious with genuinely polite stuff. Area and views are magnificent as it is located above Trichonida lake. Pick up a room with a lake view and you may enjoy the magnificent views, indefinitely. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained with modern TV set and good Wi-Fi reception. Room balcony is spacious and confortable       and along with the views, set up a very romantic scene. Hotel's breakfast and restaurant areas and the lounge are nicely decorated with excellent views, spacious and clean. Pool area with the beautiful gardens are well maintained and beautiful. A hidden gem. 

The hotel is up on a hill that overlooks the lake and after a stressful few months it was the best place to just sit and stare at the water for a couple of days.  The food is good quality and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly. The only problem we had was the lack of control of the AC - it is controlled centrally and was very cold so we kept having to get up in the night to switch it off and then on again. However,  it is a wonderful place, off the main tourist route, that gave us a well needed break.

Fabulous location high above the lake with outstanding views.

The room was very good with a large balcony, but there was no heating, or if there was they wouldn't let you use it.

Dinner was extra and we weren't very impressed with what we ordered. Breakfast was very good and a huge selection. Communication was very difficult as only the receptionist had any English.

Wifi was free and so slow as to be almost unuseable.
