Creta Suites

We loved Creta Suites! The view from our balcony overlooking the olive groves and Libyan Sea...amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Georgia at the desk especially. We loved the cats hanging around as well. We had breakfast there twice and it was really delicious and lots of food! We enjoyed the pool one day which was very relaxing. We got in late and had not eaten. Saw the sign at Taverna Rodos with Vasilis's name on it and recognized it from reading previous Tripadvisor comments from previous clients. He welcomed us in with gracious hospitality and we enjoyed a dinner of lamb and potatoes and it was delicious! We ended up eating there 6 nights in a row! His food was so fresh and he and his wife Aristea really cook from their hearts! We spent an afternoon driving around the gorge and ended up on Agia Fotia beach, it was beautiful. We really enjoyed looking at and collecting the rocks on the beach. The next day we went to Kakia Skala Beach and snorkeled there around the rocks. The water was crystal clear and we saw lots of fish. We walked to Ferma Port and explored there. We took a daytrip to Vai Beach, taking the longer route on Maps and it was amazing! We also spent a day in Ierapetra, which was nice, eating along on the waterfront (food wasn't as good as Vasilis's!) and explored the Venetian fort and did some shopping. Our last day we did a bit of shopping locally, really loved Grand Bazaar. A perfect week of relaxation and exploration! We would love to return!
