The house is beautifully situated, with the beach right behind the spacious and shady inner yard. The rooms are adequately furnished, spotlessly clean, and all the advertised amenities are present and functional -- we've never had a problem with anything. Even if something were amiss, I'm sure one wouldn't have to wait for long, since the owner, Marianna, is keenly interested in the guests' comfort and eager to maintain the excellence of service. Grocery stores, bars and restaurants abound in the vicinity and everything is reachable on foot, which is very convenient. Vourvourou lies in the lee of Diaporos island, so even on windy days the waves are modest and the water is pleasantly warm. The beach has a shallow sandy shelf which gradually drops off, ideal for children and beginner swimmers. We've been coming back to Elena's for the past ten years, never in doubt whether we'll come again. It's a truly wonderful place.
