Villa Kamara

Stayed for our honeymoon and spent weeks researching the best place to stay on the island. Although this is located in the bay a 15 minute uphill walk from Oia centre i fell in love with the Villa and had to stay as the pictures looked amazing. Olga arranged a transfer from the airport for the same price as a taxi and they were there waiting to take us to Amoudi Bay. From there we met John who helped us with our luggage (strong man) and showed us the routes to the villa. Great location just next to the donkey path leading up to Oia main town (don't be lazy and walk up, the exercise and views will be worth it. Spacious villa with lots of facilities. Fridge stocked with fruit, cheese ,ham, eggs, milk, coffee, orange juice and bread etc so you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace outside. Host John was so friendly, welcoming and will try to sort out any problems as best as he can (make sure to install WhatsApp to keep in contact with him via Wi-Fi). Views from the terrace and the roof in the day and night time were phenomenal with the cliffs behind you and the sea in front (saw two shooting stars as there's less light pollution than above). You can see the sunset without the crowds and noise from up in the town and watch the boats taking people out on excursions and returning. Quiet location and only a 2 minute walk down to the restaurants in the bay where you can eat dinner or purchase a bottle of wine to take back to your villa. More private place than most in Oia. Would love to return here for an anniversary and experience this wonderful villa again.
