Irini's Villas Resort

From 11/14 July 2014 my husband and I spent three nights at this hotel in Imerovigli on Santorini. The hotel is easily accessible, being situated in the middle of the many hotels which are all pressed into the volcanic mountains stooping into the Santorini Caldea. The hotel has got rooms on both sides of a small lane leading to another hotel. The small pool (jacouzzi)is right at the entrance to the public area and quite exposed to other people. However, since all hotels/places are interlinked through small pathways in Santorini, people respect each other and there is little or no disturbance from people passing by. Our room, which could sleep three, was the last towards the Caldea so we had nobody in front. We had a fabulous view and enjoyed our simple breakfast with fresh bread, ham and cheese, juice and coffee at the balcony every morning. We enjoyed a fantastic view over the Volcano island, the volcanic rim which Santorini is built on and saw the many cruise ships arriving and leaving. Irini Villas is very quiet at night and so is Imerovigli in general.There are a few really nice restaurants not far from the Villa which I will address and recommend in other posts. Imerovigli is less noisy and stressed up than Fira and Oia and we really enjoyed our stay there. Stairs are always a challenge in Santorini and we had to make 150 steps every time we went to our car ! Heavy for me with some bad knees but good for your heart and health!
