Sheraton Rhodes Resort

Sheraton Rhodes Resort is a fantastic hotel with many positive attributes. We had a 5 day stay in an Aqua Premium room with sea view , balcony and whirlpool. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed using the whirlpool in our room while gazing out at the ocean and sky. The breakfast was included in our rate and was sumptuous with every kind of breakfast food imaginable. The fried eggs were done every day to perfection. A choice of seating was offered, inside, outside or right beside the pool. Demitris was notably friendly with us and other guests. When we were there in mid September we had no difficulty finding a lounger by one of the 3 pools and the weather was perfect. There seemed to be lots of actives for young people with a basketball court, tennis court and a small children’s playground. There was also a small kiddies pool for toddlers. The beach was safely accessed through a tunnel going under the street where you could find many loungers and a place to get drinks. We ate dinner at the buffet once and found lots of choice, however, we preferred the the Italian and Greek restaurants where the atmosphere was quieter and the food very well prepared. The lamb dish was sensational and the service delightful. We would have liked more of a selection of wines from different parts of the world, rather than just Greek wine. One disappointment was at the the Lounge when we ordered two drinks . One Amalfi Spritzer and an Almond. Banana drink. My husband specifically wanted to know if the drink was a creamy drink which he wanted or was it a pink drink because it mentioned a strawberry. The waiter said that it was a yellow drink, so it was ordered. The drinks arrived about 20 minutes later via a young lady waitress, named Eleni . The Amalfi Spritzer arrived with a dried out piece of lime and the Almond Banana drink was not yellow or creamy, but pink with a dried out piece of banana. When my husband was dismayed , Eleni offered to get him another drink. He declined, but refused to drink this drink, so Eleni kindly did not charge for the pink drink. Our departing flight did not leave until 9:00 pm so we were allowed to stay in our room for a few more hours for a reasonable charge. The architecture of the hotel is lovely. The staff very pleasant and we had an excellent time. Sheraton Rhodes Resort is highly recommended.
