An old Venetian-era building has been redesigned into stylish comfortable apartments. I loved the private balcony, the quiet courtyard and the friendly helpfulness of Yorgos, the owner, who was born here and displays photos of the place before modernisation. Perfect location in old town, beautiful surroundings. There was no TV but that was a Good Thing, nice and quiet. There was a swimming pool but we Aussies don’t go to Europe to swim. The only thing I could have wished for was a lift (elevator), after long schlep from bus station with bags. But it was only one floor up…top floor of 2-storey building. And I loved the gentle Greek music Yorgos played in the evening that wafted through the courtyard.
