Just finished a perfect dinner and amazing breakfast at Liginou’s Nautilus restaurant!!  Cannot say enough to describe the fantastic food —and add in the setting and lovely service....a one-of-a-kind experience at the tip of the isle of Patmos!!  

Food is amazing and if you book to stay at their villas you are in for a treat!  Privacy is unmatched!  View is stunning!! Thank you Poppy!  Highly recommend!!

So, whenever you sit you have a view of the monastery either night or day
At kohyli room you wake up and sleep with this view in your eyes
Nautilus is the best resto comparing in view only with santorini
Check with Nikos one of the owners to find for you fresh ( i mean fresh) fish whatever catch of the day or even better greek tuna
Eat it like tartar and fillet in coal fire
A bottle of wine and sit at the table exactly at the left of the entrance of the restaurant on a starry night
You won’t miss chora.....

Tucked away with its own private cove and beach, Liginou apartments are a set of beautiful buildings in a stunning setting. With views to die for from the moment you wake up, we literally did not want to leave! We stayed for a wedding on the island but would love to return with a group of friends or just on our own with our 2 boys. The Nautilus restaurant onsite serves the best choice of breakfasts ever and equally fantastic lunch and evening meals. We were so well looked after and can't praise this venue enough.

Briefly I just wanted to drop a note as an hotelier once for all and as an architect. Very nicely done, all small details are thoughtfully reflect memorable Aegean dreams that would stay in someone’s mind and alone with excellent service vision. Thank to Danny and his team. Well done.👏🙏

Forget patmos aktis suites: this is the new king of the aegean
You better make your reservations for next year and you could be already late!
There are people coming here since the very beginning. But also new faces appear
The restaurant is a nice try with a view comparable only to santorini but the menu needs lots of improvement
Too many mediocre choices, it needs much less, more quality and not prepared beforehand to satisfy everyone and at once.
For example you can not use the same pasta for pasta salad and Mediterranean pasta 
Again less choices properly made and unforgettable 

The Mediterranean pasta is very good (although pre prepared)
Smoked salmon salad nice
Kids burger rocks
Tuna tartar not yet
The yogurt fruit salad very good
Pizza nice
Tuna steak nice
Salmon steak nice

Again it is the view which second to none to all greek islands and not the food yet
If you can afford choose the private houses or else the kohyli would be an excellent choice

Enjoy one of the best sunsets in greece
And your morning coffee and breakfast in nautilus

The private beach is fantastic and you can swim to the left to didimes and to the right to vagia

The Liginou studios and houses are really something special both inside and out.  The natural stone buildings blend beautifully into the hillside.  We opted to splash out and go for the ‘Suite’ which was amazing.  The spacious interior with gorgeous sea views was a delight.   The terrace overlooks the beach, has a huge comfy sofa, dining table, chairs, sunbed.  It was so inviting that we ate in every night.

We tend to be quite active on holiday and would normally be out exploring and walking every day.  However, Liginou was so relaxing and comfortable, that we had trouble tearing ourselves away.  Did manage a couple of fantastic walks especially the one via Psili Ammos ( a great beach even if you don’t do the whole walk - No 6 on the Anavasi Patmos map), also a lovely coastal and hill walk from the house (No 7 on Anavasi map).  Both walks are reasonably well signposted.

Popi and her husband were really helpful but not intrusive.  In addition to sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, there are a couple of kayaks available to guests as well as masks/snorkels.  Easy paddling to adjacent bays where there are tavernas. 


Great studio for a family of 5. Access to a small private beach with sunbeds and a couple of kayaks. No restaurant at the premises, but a cafe and a cantina at neighboring Twin Beach (10 min walk) or 25 min walk to Kampos beach (via Vaghia beach).

The rooms are overpriced and they change the price all the time - only one desirable room and even that room isn't the best but the view IS
