Archodariki

We visited Ouranoupoli for 5 nights during August. We rented a comfortable appartment with 2 bedrooms and a living room. The building is situated in a quiet road where everything is in walking distance. The owner is very hospitable.

Perfect accommodation for short and long term stay. Polite and hospitable owner.
The room is spotless and it offers everything you need.
Free WiFi and easy access to downtown, port and parking of Ouranoupoli.

We stay at Archodariki for a week and it is very nice hotel. The owner Maroula welcomes us with cold frappe and traditional Greek delicious. Our room is on the second floor and the view from our terrace is amazing, over the red roofs and in front is the famous Ouranopouli tower, the sparkling blue sea, or fiery red sunset. You needed just few steps to walk around at pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants. Every morning at eight we were awakened by a melodic bell from the church of this small fishing village. We have a nice peaceful holiday here. We highly recommended this place!

We had a wonderful holiday, very clean, quiet comfortable room. The beds were the most comfortable i think I've ever slept on in Greece, bed linen was changed regularly and our landlady was truly hospitable. The location was very convenient to shops and tavernas. Lovely!

The landlord is very welcoming and offers you cofee and cake. Very convenient to all main attractions. .

A very well situated hotel (it is just a few steps from the restaurants, pilgrim office and pier), cozy, clean and quiet.
The lady owner is very nice and hospitable.
If in December you can feel very well in Archodariki, in summer time must be fabulous.

I stayed with my son at the Archodariki in Ouranoupolis for 2 days just before Christmas in 2015. The Archodariki is a charming guest house that is about a 5 minute walk to the port. The owner Maroula was very welcoming and the rooms are immaculate.
 

We stayed in a large room with a queen bed and 2 single beds and a balcony overlooking the tops of roofs of Ouranoupolis and the water. The Archodariki is well positioned – very close to eateries and the local supermarket, and a 1 minute walk to the Mount Athos Bureau. This is perfect if you are moving onto Mt Athos as we were.
 

The room was very clean and our host/owner, Maroula, was very attentive. We have come across some pokey rooms in our travels, but this room could comfortably accommodate a family of 4.
 

We had the misfortune of my son catching a stomach bug [probably from Thessaloniki], and Maroula was able to assist us with tracking down a doctor from Ierisos and getting the local pharmacist to open up for us, on a Sunday [which can be difficult in a fishing village in Greece]. The kind heartedness from the amazing locals in Ouranoupolis, and particularly at the Archodariki, made it a memorable stay.
 

I highly recommended the Archodariki and wouldn’t hesitate to go there again.

I arrived a little deranged after nine hours on Greek roads and the manager was warm and helpful, getting me into the room (and bed) in no time at all. Lovely room, balcony overlooking main street, but at the quieter end. Big bathroom and all nicely renovated with charm. Slept like a log, no noise problems. People are friendly and I strongly recomend breaking your journey here. If you eat out, cross the road diagonally to the opp corner, there is a great local restaurant there, blue painted interior, really good food and great value.
